Blog Hosting Scam Everyone Fall Into — Uncovered
What if I told you; you, me, and the majority of people get scammed?
“I am done, doing this.”
Research the keyword, write a long-form article, and publish it on your blog, write better articles than anyone else on the Internet and wait for the search engine to pick up your article. Waiting, waiting, and waiting. Nothing is changing.
That was a complete nightmare because I was scammed. And, you too.
Let me introduce you to the EIG company:
EIG stands for the “Endurance International Group”. This company owns over 80+ hosting sites. They invested a huge amount into this business. The company use a very simple process to get more customers, “To give incentives to Bloggers and influencers whenever someone goes to one of their affiliate sites through a specialized link”
The following are all the companies owned and operated by EIG.

At this instance, I remember a quote from “The Godfather”
I’m Gonna Make Him An Offer He Can’t Refuse.
One of the most recommended sites from Bloggers and Influencers is Bluehost, one of the major revenue stream for EIG company. Bluehost pays $65 per signup to Bloggers who promote their affiliate link. There is currently no competitor who pay this high Sign-up commission beside those subsidies who are owned and operated by EIG.
The Scamming Part
When you search the term, “How to start a blog” or any term related to creating a blog, 9 out of 10 listed organic search results give you the recommendation of companies owned by EIG. Companies like Hostgator, Bluehost, any subsidiary owned by EIG. These bloggers recommend you these hosting for one simple reason “To make money by landing you on a shitty hosting company”
One Google page ranking factor is “Page loading speed” the faster your page load, the more you have a chance to get into the top of the search result. That’s why almost everyone is trying to optimize their blog posts. The page loading speed depends upon the server your website or blog is hosted on. Now, the scamming here is that these companies provide you a heavy server that takes a lot of time to load.
Even if you write the best of content. Do on-page and off-page SEO but one crucial thing you can’t do anything about is “Reducing your page load”
My 3 years of experience with Hostgator:
One day I wake up, routinely go check out my site and it was gone. I contacted Hostgator support and they say there was an issue in the server.
I made a payment for over 6-months of hosting and the very next month, they again send me the notification of paying for the next month.
I check my page loading speed and they were only showing me the server uptime issue. I updated the server as I bought their VPS package but it was still the issue. They charge me $17/month for the hosting but they upgraded my package.
I was a regular guy. As an Introvert, want to make my time more productive, but this hit me hard when someone steals my Website content and the hosting company aka Hostgator asked me to make a pay them a service charge to bring back your site. Even though I paid them for their services charges but they never fully backup my content.
At last, of all the negativity, I take a 2-months break from publishing content on my blog and I choose a different not-for-profit hosting company that is going to be a big name in the future. They believe in the investment of profit into the product not dividing among shareholders.
This was the story of how everyone being scammed online.
