Ricky Martin Denies Charges of Incest and Can Spend the Rest of His Life in Jail If Found Guilty

A long time ago, when Mom was still alive, she told me a story she remembered as a young kid after the war.
It was about a family that has been ostracized by the community. They were a couple, cohabiting as man and wife but they were also father and daughter.
It was an incestuous relationship; they also had a child.
The daughter became the surrogate wife of his father after her mother was raped and killed by the Japanese soldiers during World War II.
That story never completely left me; the horrors of the war didn’t end after the Japanese surrendered to some it was only the beginning.
Ricky Martin to jail?
The accusations are serious, and if proven in court, Ricky Martin could end up spending the rest of his life in jail.
The headlines across different news websites are the same, variations of a scandal that has the potential to end Ricky Martin’s career.

Ricky Martin’s Lawyer Denies Allegations Singer Abused His Nephew: ‘Not Only Untrue, It Is Disgusting — Variety
Police in Puerto Rico confirmed on July 2 that a judge had issued a restraining order against Ricky Martin.
According to Axel Valencia, a law enforcement spokesman, authorities visited the singer’s upscale neighborhood in the north coastal town of Dorado to serve the order, but “police haven’t been able to find him.”
Because the request was made under Puerto Rico’s domestic abuse law, it is unknown who made it. El Vocero, a Puerto Rican news outlet, reported that it came from someone Martin had dated for seven months.
Martin has been seen wandering near their home at least three times, according to the petitioner, and he has denied their breakup for two months. “The petitioner is concerned about his safety,” — Excerpt, Variety
It was later revealed that the petitioner and the one who is accusing Ricky Martin of domestic violence is no other than his nephew who goes by the name Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, it was confirmed by Ricky Martin’s brother, Eric Martin.
If it was simple domestic violence, the penalty would not be as grave as the one Ricky Martin is facing. Incest isn't only condemned in Puerto Rico but is an aggravating circumstance that could make Ricky Martin get the maximum jail time of 50 years.
Technically Ricky Martin, if convicted, could live the rest of his life in jail. And that is far crazier than what Ricky Martin meant when he sang Livin’ La Vida Loca
Ricky Martin denies the accusation
He has yet to publicly address the scandal, his reps have issued this statement to PEOPLE.
"The allegations against Ricky Martin that lead to a protection order are completely false and fabricated," "We are very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated." — reps told PEOPLE.
This isn’t the only legal battle the singer is facing; Ricky Martin is also being sued by his former manager for unpaid commissions totaling $3 million.
And an explosive detail comes from Drucker’s complaint.
It mentioned an alleged incident in September 2020, in which Martin was threatened with a “potentially career-ending allegation.” Martin “emerged unscathed and proceeded with his professional resurgence,” she claimed, thanks to her counsel. — Excerpt, PEOPLE.
Final words
During biblical times or within the royal family, the practice of inbreeding is acceptable, but not only it is disgusting but incest in almost all the US States is a criminal offense except in these three states — Rhode Island, Ohio, and New Jersey.
Ricky Martin was once part of the singing group Menudo as a child, he grew up in our very eyes.
And just like Michael Jackson who also started his career as a young boy, had to face multiple sexual abuse allegations, even if the court finds Ricky Martin innocent, he will not leave this scandal unscathed.

The truth will come out, but for that to happen Ricky Martin has to face the music in court.
