BOOK CHAPTER
#8. 10 Minute Author — Plan
Your Planning Task List

I wrote a book in 10 minutes a day, so I wrote another book about how I did that. 10 Minute Author shares the steps I took so that others can too. PART 1: PLAN
Conclusion
Congratulations on making it to the end of the planning section of 10 Minute Author. Please keep in mind that this guide is just the tip of the iceberg and I’ve given you a few steps to start your process. This guide is not a how-to-write your book guide, it is how to write a book in 10 minutes a day. It’s up to you to work out how to implement the steps I have provided or to get help in doing so.
Congratulations on making it to the end of planning
Below, you will find a task list. This task list collates the tasks from each step so far. To help you on your journey of writing your book in 10 minutes a day, I’ve recommended how many days to target in which to complete each step. If you have any experience with any of these steps, you may be able to complete some of these steps much quicker; however, I am assuming that you need to go and work out the how and so I’ve attempted to remain ‘generous’ with the allocation of days. For example, I could personally complete the message, audience, and intentions, in one 10-minute sitting. I could also brain-dump and plan a 15,000-word book in one 10-minute sitting. But I’ve done this process many times. You may be doing this in 10 minutes a day, but you can take as many days as you need to in order to achieve YOUR goals. This is about YOU.
Take as many days as you need to achieve YOUR goals
PART 1 — PLAN TASK LIST
1. Determine your three levels of Message (1 day)
2. Write a profile for your Ideal Reader (2 days)
3. Get solid about your Intentions (1 day)
4. Brain-dump your book elements and then start organizing them (5 days)
5. Set-up your Research Plan and Research Journal and complete your research (5 days)
If you are still unsure about research and referencing, I have created a research journal that is available for free from the link below. This includes elements discussed in Part 5 and includes a completed example.
