5 Unknown Facts About Hitler That Reveal Strange Side of His Personality
The monster hated his voice but loved Disney cartoons.

Adolf Hitler is undoubtedly one of the most studied historical figures. He remains the subject of gloomy fascination.
With new details about his troubled life coming to light now and then, our obsession with this complicated figure has no end. Below are some facts you might not have known, at least until now.
1. Hitler Didn’t Like The Sound Of His Voice
Hitler is known for many things that he did in his time, and one of them is undoubtedly his speeches. However, he never allowed recording of his unofficial voice, and this is known by the fact that there is no record of him speaking in his normal or unofficial tone except one.
Mannerheim Recording is the only recorded conversation in which Hitler speaks in his authentic voice.
It is a recording of a conversation between Adolf Hitler and Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim, the Commander and Chief of Finland. This recording is only available because it was recorded in secrecy.
The recording is only 11 minutes, and this is because the SS guard soon realized that Hitler was being recorded; thus, the recording was stopped.
However, the recording that was already made was not destroyed, and the Germans only allowed it to be kept in a sealed container which was never to be opened.
The recording was made public long after the death of Hitler in the year 1960.
2. Hitler, Loved Art Even When He Wasn’t Good At it
We all know Hitler as someone who has committed some horrendous crimes. However, before he became grim and evil, he was just an ordinary being.
Hitler tried a lot to pursue a career in arts, but unfortunately, his efforts were in vain. He applied to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna not once but twice; however, his application was rejected every time.
Hitler loved anything related to architecture, and this is what he wanted to study in Vienna. He admired rather ambitious structures and had that mega feel just like ancient Roman structures.
All the historians are on the same page, at least when we talk about Hitler’s love for art; however, they also state that Hitler was just not good at it, and they believe this was why he didn’t get admission to the academy of arts.
Even when he came into power, he didn’t give up on his dream, and when he found a like-minded architect named Albert speer, he assigned him the task of building the grandest of all German Capitol.
3. Hitler’s Famous Mustache Was A Gift Of Gas Mask
Hitler’s Mustache is perhaps the most recognizable Mustache on Earth because of how it looks, but have you ever wondered why Hitler shaped them this way?.
Well, if you ever search Hitler in WWI, you will find him with a handlebar mustache, which was the style back in those days.
However, this kind of Mustache was not practical for Hitler’s profession. He could not wear a gas mask properly — thus his seniors ordered him to trim it down or eliminate them, and we all know what Hitler did.
This is how the toothbrush mustache and Hitler’s signature looks came into existence.
4. Hitler, like All Of Us, Loved Cartoons
Hitler was a human, after all, so like most of us, he loved the fairy tales that Walt Disney produced at that time. He was a massive fan of one, particularly the animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Even when he didn’t like the fact that Germans couldn’t produce such content and knew that this could only be enjoyed as something which the so-called enemy of Germany is producing, he was still into it and was captivated by it.
The one character Adolf Hitler didn’t like was Mickey Mouse. His thought on it was that the mouse is somewhat debased. However, he preferred almost every other character that Disney had to offer.
It is also reported that the Nazi propaganda minister was used to bring dozens of Disney’s animated films to him, and Hitler, who also loved art, was used to sketch these characters and paint them in a manner that he deemed suitable.
5. Hitler Was An Orphan By The Age Of 18
The problems began very early in Hitler’s life, and one of his problems was his dad, who died when Hitler was only 14.
Adolf Hitler’s father, Alois, married thrice, and Adolf was to his third wife, Klara. He was already in his fifties when Klara gave birth to Adolf.
Alois was a heavy drinker, and he was not interested in raising children anymore. The relationship between the family was ugly because of the constant beating faced by Adolf and his older brother Alois Jr.
Alois died in 1903, leaving nothing more than a small pension for the family; however, it was the passing away of Hitler’s mother in 1907 that left him heartbroken at the age of 18 and left him an orphan.
Final Words
Hitler is undoubtedly one of the cruelest men that ever walked the face of the earth.
But after all, he was also a human like all of us, and in his early days, he was used to doing things and wanted to pursue something just like any other youngster around the world.
