Our morning is precious. It marks the beginning of a miracle, and that is … we are well and alive. I savor those moments when my eyes open.
I am grateful to Life.
Over time, I realized THAT mindset brings calm and peace internally. This is the reason I isolate myself from the point I open my eyes till I start working.
I want to capture the right emotions and energy leading to the start of the productive day. This is what I do.
#1 — I Say Grace.
I am not religious.
My point is, Life is a miracle. In a decade where the current pandemic disrupts our daily lives, staying alive has to be appreciated.
Thank God.
#2 — I Walk In The Morning.
I love my morning walks.
They remind me of what I take for granted — Mobility. We take it for granted until we lose it.
In fact, I was in a wheelchair when I broke my leg. Not a good way to commute.
#3 — I Swim To Breathe Hard.
Have you seen anyone with difficulty breathing? I have.
I am grateful that my cardiovascular system is intact. My heart beats to deliver blood. My lungs expand to inhale oxygen and contracts to expel carbon dioxide.
I know they are there when I hold my breath swimming.
