$3 Per Day, 25 To 50 Followers, And Lots Of Claps — Is This Something I Should Be Happy About?

It is definitely not something I can depend on…

Photo by JC Gellidon on Unsplash

As a relatively new writer, I was not expecting to get so many followers and claps on a daily basis. I also had no idea how much I would make from the platform. This is not because I doubt my writing skills; it is only because the platform is full of competitive, hardworking, and native writers.

The top writers are earning thousands of dollars per month or post. As far as I know, 6.2 percent of active writers earn more than $100 per month, $49,581.31 is the most earned by a writer so far, and $9,958.82 is the most earned for a single story. Here’s the screenshot of the email I have received.

Is It Motivating?

Photo by Charlie Firth on Unsplash

It is definitely motivating, and I have already started publishing a couple of stories every day. I may not have reached the $100 per month mark, but I think that I will be there soon. Other than this, my so many followers, claps, comments, and highlights are quite encouraging for me.

An Important Message For New Writers

Photo by Rian Adi on Unsplash

To all those new writers who are tired of the platform, my only message is to keep working and keep sharing. Sooner or later you will be one of the most successful writers of the site.

For me, the website is like a sea where big fish are present and are doing everything to dominate. However, this does not mean the small ones cannot succeed.

Compared to what I am earning from private clients and other websites, this $3 per day is nothing. However, compared to all those writers who have published a couple of stories but are still struggling to earn $100 to $200 every month, I feel that I am lucky.

Consistency Is Key To Success

In addition to providing quality and quantity to my readers, I try to be consistent. I manage time every day to write something and always have a lot of ideas in my mind. I know what my readers are looking for, and I try to provide them with the needful.

In case you are publishing only a few stories weekly, you should start publishing at least one post per day. This is what I am doing and this is what all the big writers have done so far.

Final Thoughts

By the end of the month, I may not be able to make $100, but what I am going to make will be enough for me since I am new to the platform. I had seen many writers saying that they made $3 to $10 in their first month. In my case, I had made $34 in the first month. I do not know what this month will bring to my pocket, but I have decided to keep working hard.

How many claps, shares, and comments you are getting on your posts daily? What about your followers?
