When I started my journey as a writer, I knew that I was not writing for money but for time pass. I am already doing work on different marketplaces, and have private clients too. I am making $2000 to $3000 per month, which is enough for me and my children. Obviously, I do not care much of my husband since he has almost left me and our kids.
As a single mother, it is integral for me to earn sufficient. My children are quite demanding; I send them to a good school and provide them with all the comforts they need for their survival.
Before starting as a writer here, I read a couple of posts on how to earn money. What I have learned so far is that there is no shortcut to success. It is easy for a new writer to get inspired by the money top writers are earning, but they should also understand that those writers have spent months or years on the website and have been posting consistently.
Keeping this thing in mind, I aim to publish several posts every single day. I started my own publications titled Write To Inspire and Love In The Air and did not care much about being on the homepage.
Believe it or not, I have started getting 15 to 50 followers on a daily basis. As of now, I am not making much but my expectations are high. I think that it will take me only a few more months to be one of those writers who earn over $100 per month.
Compared to what I am already earning from other platforms, this $100 is nothing. However, I am still working hard as I know that this platform has a lot of potential for freelancers.

How I Made It Possible?
I am being patient and have been working really hard. I am trying to publish something every day, whether it is Sunday, Monday, Saturday or another day of the week.
The best part is that I have not published my work with any of the big publications. Why is it so? This is because I want to build my own brand. I want to change the image that writers need to be accepted by top publications or curators to earn sufficient.
Maybe, it will take me some extra months to reach the milestone, but I have dedicated myself to the platform and have decided to focus on both quality and quantity.
- Follow Others To Get Followed — It is important to follow other writers, whether they are newcomers or top writers. When you give a favor, you will surely get it back.
- Take Time To Create Unique Titles And Content — Once I finish writing, I take time to read the posts of other writers, give them claps and try to get ideas for my work from both online and offline sources.
- Choose A Variety Of Tags — So many writers choose the tags that are trending, but I try to combine both trending and non-trending tags.
- Don’t Focus On A Single Niche — One of the major mistakes writers make is that they focus on one or two niches only and keep writing and publishing posts related to those niches. In my case, I try to create variety. I do not want my readers or followers to get bored. I want to give them something good to read.

I must say that this is one of the best platforms for freelance writers. However, the competition is tough so you can gain recognition only when you don’t spam the posts of other people and focus on both quantity and quality.
