3 Dangers in Manifesting With or Praying to The Universe
The universe is everything good and evil

1. The Universe Could Stand For Anything
I used to think people were so close-minded when they warned me to avoid using the term universe, but I think I’ve been very close-minded and they may actually have a point.
The universe isn’t just one thing. It isn't just good, and it isn't just bad. It is everything good and bad. It is all of space and time, including its contents — the matter and energy that it contains and the light and dark forces inside it. It is the earth and the moon as well as the other planets and their many dozens of moons, along with the sun and the other stars, asteroids, and comets. It also includes the air that runs through our nostrils, the fire that burns in our soul, the water that refreshes our spirits, and the earth that holds us. All the many spirits, good and evil, are also a part of the universe. God, his archangels, and his angels are a part of it. The rulers, authorities, powers, and principalities too. And we would be silly not to include the devil and his demons. They are also a part of this universe and, of course, the universe includes you and me.
When a person prays to a very broad universe to avoid all religious connotations, they may be praying to a benevolent universe, but they could also be praying to a malevolent universe and not know it.
When you say a general prayer to the universe, anything good or evil that hears or picks up on your prayers can respond. And when this happens, you may not be aware the answer or insight you received is not actually from the good in the universe.
Many people in the early stages of their spiritual awakening make the mistake of invoking the universe without being specific about what they actually mean by that. That’s what I've done in the past, but I learned this truth: darkness will never bring light and evil will never be good.
There is a belief that you can co-create and manifest whatever it is you desire with the universe and you can, but don’t be fooled. That is the easiest way to be deceived into something that glitters but isn’t really gold. Those who keep making the mistake of praying to the universe may have to pay the cost when they are fighting battles that never seem to end.
When you pray to a very broad universe, you may be praying to a benevolent universe, but you could also be praying to a malevolent universe and not know it.
2. The Universe Has a Creator and Creatures
When people find an object very impressive, they may forget about the creator of that object and the wisdom it holds, and they solely focus on the object. We see an object is great and we forget the skill and the wisdom of its manufacturer or creator.
You have to be able to distinguish between creator and creature.
We acknowledge Steve Job for a job well done, not the iPhone, even though the phone is just so great. Sure, you could pick up your phone and ask a question on Google and find whatever answer you need, but without Steve, there would be no phone to pick up. But if you find fault with your iPhone, it would be completely useless and if you complain to the iPhone itself about its malfunction, the fault won’t repair itself, but Steve Jobs and his team could help you diagnose the problem. For that to happen, you would have to take the problem to the creator of the object and complain about the fault to him only. And when it's fixed, you would thank the creator and not the thing.
Right?
It's the same way people have this idea that the universe and God are the same, but the universe is not God. The universe didn't create God. God is the creator of the universe. The universe is the created thing.
Of course, created things are sometimes magnificent and we give them all the power instead of the creator. I mean, look around. Look at the beauty of the moon holding on to nothing in the night sky. Look at the sun and how vibrantly it shines. Look at the trees. Look at the sea. Just look around you. The universe is filled with nothing but beauty, but all the beauty didn’t create itself.
You have to be able to distinguish between creator and creature and give the credit where it's due.
3. There’s a Light and Dark Universe
If this was a perfect universe without evil and darkness, it would be no problem at all praying to or manifesting with the universe because you know it’s all goodness, but we live in an imperfect universe filled with good and evil forces, light and dark beings, and they all tune in to your prayers.
Your prayers to the universe could be heard by spirits in the light universe, but they could also be heard by spirits in the dark universe. Just by praying broadly to the universe, you could invite all types of entities into your home without even knowing what you’ve done. This is why I can now see what the Christians are talking about when they warn of the dangers of using the term universe.
I stand on my belief that there is absolutely nothing wrong with manifesting with the universe, but when you’re asking the universe to help you, be specific about which side of the universe you need help from and what kind of help you don’t need. Be specific about exactly what you want to co-create and with who so you don’t end up co-creating with a malefic spirit.
People who don’t know this truth often find themselves in darker nights of the soul when dark entities have responded to their prayers. Where the situation should be getting better, it gets worse and they can't understand why.
Darkness will never bring light, and evil will never be good.
So when you pray, pray to something specific and if the thing has a name, call it. Don’t be the one who tries to pray to everything and ends up praying to nothing at all. Or the one who prays to everything and starts a battle in the spiritual realm because you’ve created confusion amongst the spirits.
Call the name of the thing you wish to pray to. If it’s God you’re praying to, use his name. Be specific about who you are talking to, so no random spirit answers your prayer.
But if you absolutely hate the name of God and refuse to say it, then you must say what it is you want to help you. Archangels? Spirit guides, maybe? Ancestors? Use their names. Be specific in your prayers, but you also have to understand that a creature will never be higher than the creator.
Side Note
For those of us who pray to God, there is no guarantee that our prayer will be answered just because we say God's name. In a world where people wake up, learn a thing or two about spirituality, and start to feel like a god or goddess, the title god is misused and seems to have lost its true meaning. Everyone is a god these days and there are also actual gods and goddesses in the universe, all with real powers and authority. This has made the title “god” overused.
God’s name has also been used so many times in vain. People say “oh my god” when they’re upset or emotional and they may not even be truly calling out to God. People yell out “my god” when they are climaxing during sex and how disrespectful is that?
We’ve cried wolf so many times that when we are in actual danger, we can’t be taken seriously.
After all this disrespect we’ve shown God, you would be silly to think that God would rush out of his heavenly throne every time he heard someone say “God.” He warned us not to use his name in vain.
And God is not even a real name. It’s only a title like Sir or Madame and there are many sirs and madames in this world, just as there are many gods.
God has a name. A special name. His name is YHWH, but you couldn’t even know how to say it. This is why many prayers go unanswered because we are not calling out to God by his name. YHWH supposedly means I AM, but I am what?
You can’t say you have a personal relationship with someone if you don't even know their name. It’s your job to figure out who or what God is to you. It’s your job to call God a name he accepts and responds to. This is something you go before God and talk to him about. And it's a name you will not use in vain, so he knows to come quickly when you call.
