10 iPhone Apps for December!

I love Christmas, because of that, I love December. That is why I’m introducing ten unique iPhone apps for this month. These apps are super helpful if you want to upgrade your finance game, improve your life quality, test your devices, Get closer to your friends, and much more.
In November, I got busy publishing many stories on my blog. I made a curated list of apps for Mac and iPhones. You can check them on my blog. Here is one of them:
The apps introduced in this story are in the categories of finance, utility, health, entertainment, and reference.
1. CoinMarketCap

I’ve recently started investing in cryptocurrency. I know I am late to the game, but based on what I’ve read, I think it has a promising future, and it is not a bad idea to be cautious before making any decisions on crypto.
So far, my journey involved installing two apps: One for a wallet which I’ll introduce later in this story, and two, a news app to keep track of the prices for the coins I’m interested to purchase.
CoinMarketCap is an exciting app for those who want to keep track of prices for their crypto. You can track your favorite cryptos such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, and 2000 more. The functionalities within this small app are vast, and the great thing about it is its simple user interface.
The app features Exchange ranking, portfolio, watchlist, and many great features. But, as I wrote, I’m new to the game, and I still have a lot to learn. I will discover more apps and services and publish them in my future posts as I learn about the crypto world.

2. Geekbench 5

Geekbench 5 is the benchmark for many tech reviewers. It is used to compare your device’s performance based on the complexity and power of its SoC. It is a standard for many tech review websites.
The app doesn’t have an excellent user interface, but it is simple and has features like comparing your result with the competition and sharing it over the web. In addition, it shows information about your SoC and saves your result.
If you are looking for a way to benchmark your devices, make sure to give Geekbench 5 a try.

3. Headspace

Mindfulness is a skill that needs hours of practice to strengthen like many muscles in our body. I believe many complications in life happen for the lack of proper listening. Mindfulness is about being present at the moment, and to achieve that, you need practice, and that is where the Headspace app comes into play.
Headspace is a meditation app famous for its intuitive design and excellent performance. The user interface exudes positivity, and the amount of features within the app is enormous.
I have used three meditation apps, and none of them were as feature-rich as Headspace. Headspace brings much-needed practices to improve your sleep, adjust your breathing and alleviates your difficulties with anxiety and stress.
If you are looking for a way to improve your life’s quality, try Headspace and meditate for a while. It works, and many people (including me) swear by the positive effect of meditation.
Remember: The trick to make meditation work is practice and consistency. Practice makes perfect; Otherwise, you might get less than ideal results.

4. Linc

Keeping in touch with your friends and family shouldn’t be difficult, yet it can be challenging for many people, especially those who are separated from their families. We are social animals, and we can’t achieve much without a community.
Linc is a new idea for an iPhone app that visually hints the status of your relationships. Once recorded, Linc tells what you and your friend have last talked about so you won’t have many awkward small talks.
It gives instant access to the essential details about your relationship and provides statistics to get a better picture of the status of your relationships. If you have a friend you wish to speak with more often, don’t miss Linc.

5. Milkshake

Influencers and many professionals try their best to connect with their followers on multiple platforms. But, unfortunately, many fail while some succeed. A solution is building a social media reference landing page — a service where the link to all your social accounts is available.
These services are great, yet they feel very static and plain. Milkshake is a great app that has created a dynamic experience for your followers to better connect with you over different services.
You create cards, and each card represents a set of tools like text, image, and links, and they are highly customizable. Once you configure each card, you will see how interactive the web page looks compared to the alternatives.
If you are looking for a way to promote your social accounts to more people and increase the engagement rate of your content, then give Milkshake a try. It is a great app.

6. Get Sum

As a minimalist, I am careful about what I buy. It is imperative to manage my finances and reduce clutter to achieve a clutter-free experience in my life. Whenever I go shopping, I have a list. However, sometimes I forget to bring that list.
Usually, that list is in the Notes app, which I often forget to open. Then I found Get Sum. An app Shihab Mehboob, one of my favorite indie developers. He has made an outstanding contribution to the world of iOS apps, and Get Sum is one of his finest.
Using Get Sum, you can create a shopping list that is more than a simple shopping list. You get an estimate on how much your items cost. You can easily quantify your list items and assign categories to them.
What separates Get Sum from the the alternatives is “Store location,” where you specify the location of a shopping center and then get notified of the items you need to purchase when you are physically close to that location.
In terms of design, the app is intuitive and straightforward. It uses the Apple Design Guideline and provides a clean, minimal experience. So if you are looking for a way to make your shopping simple to manage, then give this app a try.

8. Trust

The first app I reviewed in this story is about keeping track of the price of cryptos. This app is about keeping those cryptos on your iPhone in a personal wallet. Trust provides a beautiful design and a great user experience.
Setting up your wallet is straightforward, and you can lock your wallet with TouchID/FaceID if you don’t like typing the passcode. In addition, Trust supports many cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
Using Trust, you can buy crypto and transfer them. You can also buy, sell, receive and sell your NFTs. Use the app to keep track of your balance. Regarding security, rest assured, the Trust app uses military-grade encryption, and your private keys never leave your device.
If you are looking for a robust, straightforward crypto wallet app, don’t miss Trust.

9. Vinegar — Tube Cleaner

Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player and provides the default HTML player. We all know the default YouTube player sucks, especially on the iPhone and iPad. Not all iOS users like YouTube’s native app; It forces ads and unimportant information on your screen.
Once you install and activate this extension, your YouTube experience will never be the same. The improvements are noticeable. Vinegar removes ads, prevents privacy-invasive trackers, and restores picture-in-picture, which is very useful if you own a large iPhone.
The fantastic feature of this extension is its ability to play YouTube videos in the background. So now, you can listen to special Podcasts and live videos without any hassle.
If you don’t like using the YouTube app for whatever reason, make sure to give Vinegar a try. You are going to love it.

10. PDF to JPEG converter Alto app

When I was studying computer software engineering for my BSc, I remember how essential it was to work with PDF files. I remember how difficult it was to convert a PDF file to an image. You either had to pay for expensive software or come up with an unconventional solution.
With the advancement of iOS and the power of iPhone processors, we can do almost anything we want. PDFtoJPEG is a phenomenal utility that will convert your PDF files into JPEG images for free without any ads.
Import your PDF and export it into a high-quality image. The app is intuitive, quick, and small in size. It does come with some constraints, so make sure to check the app description, but it works very well for 95% of your use cases.
