Your Summer Vacation Appreciation

As the beautiful summer sun shines, memories of vacations past fill my heart with joy. One of our favorite family trips was to Puerto Vallarta to spend the week at a resort and visit with my best friend Lily and her two daughters.

Now that I work in a hotel, I appreciate all the work hospitality staff do to ensure a memorable stay. We have such fond memories of this vacation because it was simple, relaxing, and in a beautiful place.

I remember purposefully sitting silently on the balcony, drinking in the scenery, capturing the moment in my mind. It makes me feel peaceful every time I return to this scene.

My husband and son made a spectacular memory together during our stay. Around midnight, they went to the buffet restaurant to have late-night tacos. Mostly hotel staff enjoyed this feast, but guests were allowed to partake. They still talk about how much fun it was!

Often these moments of glorious fun we most appreciate while on vacation, especially in the summer. I can imagine writing a thank you note to the staff to let them know how much gratitude we hold in our hearts for treating us like family.

Cheers to the people who served us endless non-alcoholic drinks by the pool, and everyone who kept the buffet full of delicious and tempting desserts to end our evening, as well as lovely housekeepers making our room sparkle.

Let us not forget everyone behind the scenes working hard with a smile while we relax.

All of these memories live on in my spirit, and I am grateful for them.

A Loving Note from Trista Signe Ainsworth:

Dear Lovely Readers and Writers,

I write to you all with a heart full of summer joy. My son and I are enjoying our afternoons together going swimming, out to lunch, or sometimes just sitting down to chat. These are precious times!

Early in the morning, around 4:30 am during the week, I always respond to comments on my past stories and then read something by the author of that comment. It is such an uplifting start to my day!

I am slowly catching up with all of the loving responses to my work, please pardon my delay. Slowing down this summer to savor each moment with my son, friends, and family is a choice I hold close to my heart.

Thank you all for your friendship through whatever life has in store for us. Today, I wish you joy in all its forms. No matter what is happening in the external world, you can hold the light steady in your heart. I have seen a transformation of love happen right before my eyes, inside my own spirit, so I know it is possible.

You are always a miracle and forever loved.
