Given you don’t have the key, and are desperate to discover the answers surrounding your existence, you pass through the gap in the fence.
With its tight entryway, you accidentally cut yourself along one of the metal edges.
You let out a sharp gasp as you look down at the cut illuminated by the moonlight.
Though the wound is rather small, it releases a strange black substance thick like tar.
The substance horrifies you as you fall to the ground and writhe about.
“What is this? Is this pain? What’s coming out of me?”
Such thoughts swirl about your mind while you attempt to calm down.
You come back to your feet and gaze back to where the “blood” originated, only to find the wound closing back up.
As soon as it had arrived, the wound heals completely, the pain soon subsiding!
This body stands out as quite strange yet fascinating to you.
You look back to the forest path beyond, once again determined to seek answers to your mysterious situation.
The more you travel through the black wood, the denser it grows until a vast opening arrives at last!
You fall to the ground, pushing past the dense vegetation, before staring toward a rather alien sight.
For you have finally escaped the wild clutches of the black wood, to find yourself on a stone path toward an open archway.
Looking behind you, sits another section of the black wood even denser than where you came from.
Given that it’s impossible to pass through, you instead move toward the archway, which is lined with beautiful blooming flowers.
In contrast to the forest, the smells here are quite pleasant and refined, as if nature was tamed to fit humanity’s desires.
You are fully entranced and walk further in to discover a massive field of gardens!
Before you’re able to fully process the environment, a shadow whisks past you, and begins running through a passage to your left.
Given the sudden change in tone, your heart beats with conflict!
