Summary

Trista Signe Ainsworth reflects on the benefits of embracing flexibility and going with the flow of life, drawing insights from her personal experiences and the teachings of Stuart Wilde.

Abstract

In a thoughtful meditation on the concept of flowing with life, Trista Signe Ainsworth recounts a morning when her son's spontaneous decision to join her garden walk led to a delightful and creative exchange. She contrasts this with her previous tendency to plan meticulously and control her environment, highlighting the joy and beauty that can emerge from embracing life's spontaneity. Ainsworth references the teachings of Stuart Wilde, particularly the idea that relinquishing control over life's flow can lead to a stronger, more consolidated etheric presence and unexpected surprises, such as her husband's enthusiastic participation in home renovations. She encourages readers to let go of rigid expectations, allowing life's surprises to unfold and reveal the support and beauty that the universe provides.

You Are The Flow Of Life

Day 61: When you go with the flow, life shows up for you

As I was going along on my morning garden walk today, I noticed to my surprise that my son had come outside, drawing notebook in hand. He was waving at me with a sweet smile. I asked him what he was up to, and he said he thought he’d join me outside. While he drew and wrote, I walked around and he called me over to check out what he had created. I was so delighted by his creativity and this fun diversion to the morning. When you choose to go with the flow of life, and not lean against it, life will come to you and show you beauty. These are the lessons I am learning from the book Silent Power by Stuart Wilde among his other works on my 100-day spiritual journey.

Accept the comings and goings of life and flow to your highest good with little resistance and great joy. The more you control your emotions and the reactions of your personality, the more consolidated and powerful your etheric becomes. -Stuart Wilde

As someone who loves to plan, I am slowly learning to go with the flow. I do believe that daily practices and routines are a great foundation for our days, helping us to treat our lives as sacred. However, I have also found that loving the unexpected has its rewards. Now, I plan fewer things and roll along with the flow of life. I expect glorious surprises and mysteries to show up. I am allowing life to flow through me.

We are in the middle of finishing up two bathroom makeovers. It started with painting the walls, then painting the floor. It is ending with installing new baseboards around the floors. In the past, the current mess of tools, glue, and dust would have bothered me. I love to have things neat and tidy. I am constantly putting things away and organizing. Now that I am learning to flow with life, I have decided that these areas can be left alone. There is no need to tidy up until the work is done.

The beautiful surprise that life brought to me was that my husband got excited about putting in new baseboards once I painted the walls and the floors. Once he saw how refreshed the bathrooms looked, he took it upon himself to get involved in the project. I did not need to ask him to participate, he gladly decided to help on his own.

A gracious solidity develops around you. Now you’ll be able to see through your own etheric to the world of pure energy beyond. A quantum leap takes place within, and a great perception descends upon you. But, remember, silent power is a strength you quietly express, not one you wield. It’s born from the seeds of self-control. -Stuart Wilde

My prayer and my intention for you today is that you see where you are flowing with life. How are you letting go? What unexpected surprises have you experienced lately? Be in the flow of the beautiful river of life. The divine always provides just what we need. If we are too rigid in our expectations, we won’t be able to see the delights each day has to offer.

How are you going with the flow today?
