You are A Gift
Day 58: By finding your higher purpose in life, you give a gift to the world

This morning I started off in a bit of a rush. Mostly, it was my mind that was darting around like it was on a race track. I woke up a little later than I had planned. Next week I will be starting a new schedule, preparing for our son to go back to school online. Since he and I will be sharing a computer, I must get my writing and business work done first thing in the morning. With all of these details zooming around inside of me, I felt a panic rising up in me today. When I started to feel this, I gently reminded myself that none of this was happening at this present moment. Then, I sat down to do my meditation and went for my morning garden walk as usual. My morning routine grounded me, and I am starting to feel more centered now. I realize that I brought myself back to my purpose, being here in this moment, to spread light to others. This is one of the lessons I am learning on my 100-day spiritual journey exploring the book Miracles by Stuart Wilde among his other works.
I believe that each of us has a purpose, a beautiful gift to give the world. When we know what that gift is, in all its glorious detail, we will be able to wrap up a colorful package for the world to open each and every day. I know that my gift is to spread light, positivity and love to all by sharing my journey and teaching others through it. I can do this through my writing practice and by helping people declutter and organize their homes. Helping others to create an environment that supports their dreams is something that brings great joy to me.
Each and all of us has something that we can contribute, your gift to the world is what you are. And of course, if you are happy with what you are, your gift is a happy gift. -Stuart Wilde

Discovering the gift within yourself that you have to give is part of your journey. Sometimes that gift will change from time to time, season to season. In my life I have used a lot of my different talents to give back to others, so even though I may not stay on the exact same path, doing the same thing forever, I am still giving of myself to help create a better world. I have been an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, a baker, a cook, a business owner and now I am currently a professional organizer and a writer. As you can see, I love to work.
My prayer and my intention for you today is that you look at what beautiful gifts you have to share with the world. Be kind to yourself. Be patient as you discover your purpose. Do not worry if your purpose changes from time to time. It is all a process of becoming and learning who we truly are. In our lifetimes, we may change direction many times and that only means that we have many gifts to give.
What is your gift to the world?
