You Are An Affirmation

Day 60: Believing in yourself and sharing your truth is the path

Photo by Riz Mooney on Unsplash

This morning I allowed myself to slumber, to get the rest I needed. To awake feeling completely refreshed is my gift for today. Taking on the day with joy in my heart is my mission. As I made my daily rounds in our back garden this morning, I was greeted by a full apple tree and two bushes full of huckleberries. As thoughts danced in my head about delicious breakfast bowls full of bountiful fruit, I felt blessed by the abundance of nature. As I explore the book Miracles by Stuart Wilde among his other works on my 100-day spiritual journey I am slowly but surely learning to truly believe in myself.

You have to begin to see your life as an affirmation of your belief in yourself, and as you begin to see where the successes are, what works, and what doesn’t, then slowly but surely you come into an energy where believing in yourself is natural. You naturally know that you can follow through, that you can deliver. -Stuart Wilde

A true belief in myself is something I am developing. Each and every day, this belief grows in me. It is not a natural thing for me. As an empath, I am someone who is very sensitive to emotions and the energy of those around me. I often want to hide in the background. I want to just fade into what I believe others will be happy with. However, not being myself and not having the confidence to stand my truth is not the way to achieve success. I cannot share my gifts with the world if I am not authentic. The true path is one where I always share my real heart, as difficult as that may be for me.

The time has come for me to share my truth with some loved ones in my life. They do not know that I am on a spiritual journey. Not many are aware that I am on a path to find my true self and discover my purpose and gift to the world. Some may understand, and others may not. I have kept a large part of my heart hidden. It feels like covering up part of my soul. Deep in my inner knowing, I must share my feelings and my journey with them. I know that I share my deepest thoughts best through writing, so this is how I shall share how I am different, but I believe in myself. This will come in poetic form.

This week I was deeply inspired by my dear friend Amy Marley sharing her deep pain on paper. Thank you Amy for sharing your heart here. You have paved the way for me to share. Thank you also to Suntonu Bhadra who created the publication Paper Poetry for us all to share our hearts on paper.

My prayer and my intention for you today is that you believe in yourself. Share your truth far and wide. It may not come easily to you, I understand with all of my heart. However, standing in your truth and believing in yourself takes you further down the path on your journey in life. It is an affirmation, telling the divine that you truly want to live your purpose.

What is the truth that you need to share?
