WRITING GROUP MOJO
Writing Prompts for Rainy Days
Choose your poison!

Since most of us have already burned through the previous seven writing prompts I created, I feel prompted to sprinkle more challenging and inspirational mojo around our merry community.
But hold on a bit. There are also people who asked for more time to do the previous prompts. Fear not; I’m not closing the door on you. There is no time limit.
You can still do the old ones in case you haven’t:
Last time, I wrote 7 prompts. Now I have 23 more. Yes, I felt the need to complete the month and turn this from a weekly prompt chain to a monthly one. I’m weirdly competitive, I know. But the popularity of my weekly prompts made me want to test myself even more in this regard.
So, without further delay, I’m very excited to introduce you to the new mixed prompts. Brace yourself for the ride!
1] Let’s make a sandwich. What would your sandwich be made of? Describe the ingredients. What brands will you use?
On what days or parts of the day do you usually crave a good sandwich? Who will you share it with? Do you even like to share?
Are you a slow eater or a fast eater? Do you take big bites or do you nibble on food? Do you like to take a sip of a beverage while you’re chewing the bite, or do you hate that idea?
2] Did your parents ever tell you not to hang out with someone or forbidden you contact with another person? Who was it and why?
3] Let’s talk (write) about swimming. Can you swim? At what age did you learn to swim? Who taught you? How fast did you learn?
4] Open relationships. Yay or Nay?
5] At what age did you stop believing in Santa Claus? Did you have a rude awakening or just grow up?
6] I, for one, believe that our sleep is often influenced by our quirks, habits, and equipment. Do you agree?
Is there a specific type of bed that you like? Do you like a soft pillow or a hard pillow?
What’s your favorite sleeping position?
If you share your bed with someone and the bed has one side stuck to the wall, what side would you like to sleep on?
7] Have you or someone you know ever been duped while looking for a side hustle, job, or a part-time second job?
8] Today’s subject: walking styles. Do you or someone you know have a funny or bizarre walk? Describe the walk.
Question for the ladies: Do women deliberately strut, accentuating their hip movement or popping out their chests when they see men stealing glances?
9] Random word poetry. Write a poem using the following words:

10] Did you ever get the “where babies come from” talk with your parents? As a child, did you have your own theory about this?
11] Let’s talk (write) about pee. Around what age did you stop wetting your bed? Do you have an embarrassing story related to peeing your pants?
12] Have you ever mistreated a book? Confess your sins!
13] How hard is it for you to change your mind about something? Are you stubborn as a mule or easily convinced?
14] Let’s say you were a wild animal (not a pet). Which animal would you be? What would your daily activity in the wild include? Would you stand out from the rest or blend into the local fauna?
15] Did you ever get a food craving after watching a movie or a TV show? How did it happen? What did you crave?
16] Write a fiction story about craving something. Use a second-person narrative for more fun. I can’t wait to be your “main character!”
17] How important is teaching sex education in schools? Did you get to experience it when you grew up?
18] How easy is it for you to say sorry in an argument with someone else? Do you tend to openly admit you were wrong as soon as you realize that, or would you rather die than do that?
19] Did you hang out with the cool kids in school?
20] Random word poetry challenge. Write a poem including the following words:

21] Binary prompt. If you were a man/woman for a day, what would be some of the things you’d be eager to do? Hands off your pants, you pervs. Stop checking your new equipment!
Nah, I’m kidding. Everything goes; don’t mind your reputation. Who needs that?
22] Rant about a specific genre of literature that you hate.
23] Did someone ever dine and dash on you or leave you to pay the bill for the products and services they used?
Well, what do you say? Feel free to choose your poison!
There are no rules. The order doesn’t matter. There is no time limit. You can do them all or do none. It’s all up to you!
But tag me in your prompt answers if you do. Even better, post them in my publication, Read or Die, for more exposure. Request to be our writer if you meet the requirements and agree with our rules:
