WRITING IDEAS

Weekly Prompts for Writing Prompt Enthusiasts

For a few months already, I have been participating in many writing prompts issued by several people. These prompts come quite in handy since they often provide you with quick and easy ideas for your future posts.

I might not be the best writer out there, but I never lacked in the bullshit department. I feel like I can write about anything, and I will never run out of ideas. Despite that, I got hooked on these writing prompts and have participated in the fun challenges that people have created.

No matter how many ideas you have, it’s always good to check out what others have come up with. You don’t have to participate in all the prompts going around, but sometimes a writing prompt will inspire you and help you overcome burnout or writer block.

That’s the reason I love participating in these prompts. I love it so much that I’ve been thinking for a while now about creating my own prompt list. Today, I have decided to act on this impulse and actually do it.

So here are a few writing prompts that I invented on the spot:

1] Let’s talk (write) about forgiveness. Can you forgive someone who has done you wrong? How about yourself? How easy or hard is it for you to forgive yourself when you do something bad?

2] Do you believe in soul mates? What is a soul mate for you?

3] I heard on the news that people in my country spend an insane percentage of their salaries on groceries. Do you think it’s the same in your country? How often do you or your family go grocery shopping? Who’s the one on grocery duty in your household?

4] Have you ever been in a real fight? What about a childish tussle with other kids?

5] Random word poetry prompt. Write a poem containing the following words:

6] Have you ever thought about starting your own business? What did you have in mind, and what stopped you? Or, if you have your own business, share with us the story of your success.

7] When it comes to clothes, do you go for the expensive brands or the cheaper ones? Have you ever bought second-hand clothes or worn hand-me-downs from older siblings or cousins?

What do you think? They’re not that bad, huh? I tried my best to throw in a few mixed prompts so people could have several options to choose from.

I know there are many prompt lists out there, but I hope that my list will provide people with different alternatives and new ideas for their writing endeavor.

If you decide to participate in my little challenge and take on these prompts, please tag me so I can read your response.
