Hope Springs Eternal 2/5

Writing Prompt: The Flames

Siberia Burns by Zane Dickens (and Midjourney)

Here’s our second prompt for September for Hope Springs Eternal

Remember this is a crossover collab month with The Dystopian Project founded by Jann a writer at Microcosm and a 100 Story Challenger.

Watch it All Burn

The world is on fire.

The skies are red and orange, filled with thick smoke and ashes.

The ground is scorched and blackened, buildings and trees reduced to rubble. The air is hot and thick, making it difficult to breathe.

This is the new reality, the reality of climate change.

The flames are everywhere, leaping from one thing to the next with an insatiable appetite. Houses, trees, cars, people…nothing is safe.

The only way to survive is to keep moving, to keep ahead of the inferno.

But it’s not just the flames that are deadly. The heat is suffocating, the smoke is choking, and the ash is blinding.

Every step is a struggle, every breath a battle. But you’re not alone.

There are others fighting their way through the flames, others who are determined to survive.

Together, you can make it through this nightmare. Together, you can find a way to rebuild and create a new world from the ashes of the old.
