I’ve never done this before. I’m working on the third book of a series about a queer, intersex, and Bipolar teenager named Karen A Rogers/Ren Anonymous…. WARNING: There are a couple of spoilers in here, but if my books are completely new to you, it’s probably not a big deal. If you wanna wait and read “Good Catholic Kids” and “In-Patient” first, I understand.
ETSY… BUT MAKE IT QUEER
I didn’t do a thing, but I did another thing from KP_the_writer
I didn’t do an article myself for this showcase. I had ideas, I had plans, but instead, I published two books, lol. Shifting of priorities has been necessary — more below. But I did do something very related to this showcase.
I have created a new Etsy store. I just need to update my driver’s license so that I can do the ID checks, but it will be launching in the next few weeks. In the meantime, I’ll be adding new merch into my current store until that one is live.
The new store is called… “ButMakeitGay”. So yeah, that happened. I’ll share on Medium when it opens. This is the link to my current Paperwear Etsy store (external link) where I sell digital paper bead templates. I’ll be uploading a range of pride templates in the coming days/weeks as well as social media templates… but make it queer, desktop icons… but make it queer, and maybe some Christmas… but make it queer stuff, lol.

Welcome to our final showcase! And we made it queer!
Final showcase? Well, at least for now. With uni finishing up and no longer having my education supplement as income (and refusing to go on ‘unemployment’ while also refusing to get a boss), I’ve had to rethink my situation and what I can and cannot and will and will not do and more importantly, what the hell I want to do and still bring in income to… you know… live. Medium is my third highest income source at the moment and it’s dismal. But of the other two, one, is a set fortnightly income and the other is not something I can control (depends on how many blogs I’m allocated). So. MEDIUM is the next in line that I can have any control over and I need to increase what it is bringing in. That means that I need to focus a little more on creating quality content instead of spending all of the time I’m on Medium managing publications. Oh, and I have books to do things with too, haha.
What that means is that until things align and probably for at the very least, the first half of 2023, I’m placing a hold on posting the Quintessentials showcase. QT is still here to post your amazing articles; however, I’ll only be checking it on Wednesdays and I’ll schedule out any articles across the following week. On the odd occasion that we have an unusually busy week, your article may not be edited on the first Wednesday after submission. I’ll still post the Quintessentials but it will be a review of the QT articles and any great articles I’ve read. It will no longer be on a schedule though — just whenever the hell I get around to it, lol.
I’m removing pressure and expectations so that I can get my own shit together to better help you deal with yours, haha.
