Words to a Lifeless Stranger
Poetry #5 — We can change homelessness
Sitting duck, blank in mind Nowhere to go but to be, I stop being.
My unmet friend is pondering puzzled by life challenges.
Need a coin or a dollar to go by. Ask me why for the first time someone cares.
I have lost my spark, my guiding light.
Gazing in emptiness, as he looked perplexed by those questions.
Will they change anything for both of us If I answer?
Only God knows. But I will ask you one more question if you allow me to feel your pain.
What do you think you lost during your life journey to finding yourself?
Not knowing it will be my last inquiry.
Gotta go, my ride is here. Ho, wait, what is your name stranger? I wish you well wholeheartedly.
Words to my homeless friend, James. You matter to at least one person today.
Who knows what tomorrow holds for you?
