Women Who Do This One Thing During Sex Are More Likely To Cheat

A study has produced interesting findings on fidelity

Being cheated on in a relationship.

There is hardly a worse feeling. The reasons for this can be manifold. People might not be satisfied in a relationship, there might be quarrels, unfulfilled sexual needs, or too much alcohol paired with an attractive person who shows interest in them.

Attention, men.

According to studies, there is one characteristic in women that enormously increases the likelihood of cheating.

A Study With Hundreds Of College Students

A study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior examined how a woman’s frequency of orgasms affects her fidelity by looking at 138 female and 121 male undergraduate students who were in a heterosexual romantic relationship.

Female participants answered questions about orgasm frequency and intensity. The male participants were asked to rate these in their partners.

In addition, all participants were asked whether they had ever cheated and how likely this was to happen in the future.

The aim was to test the female fidelity hypothesis.

The idea behind this hypothesis is that women who have frequent orgasms are more sexually satisfied and therefore cheat less often.

That makes sense, right?

The results of the study clearly contradict the female fidelity hypothesis.

No correlation was found between the frequency of orgasm and infidelity.

Another Predictor Was Found

Although the original hypothesis was not confirmed, another predictor of infidelity was identified: faking orgasms.

The more often a woman fakes an orgasm, the more likely she is to have cheated before. The likelihood of future infidelity was also predicted by orgasm faking.

In conclusion, the study found that it is not the actual but the fake orgasms that predicate fidelity.

Nevertheless, we should not overestimate the study.

Just because there is a correlation does not mean that every woman who fakes orgasms cheats on her partner.

Moreover, the sample size of 259 participants is not particularly large.
