In Will’s Defense: Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars for Talking about his Wife

My Opinion? Chris Rock deserved it. Hey, no one is perfect.

Last night, the comedian Chris Rock made a joke about Will’s wife Jada Smith. Jada suffers a disease that causes hair loss so neither Jada nor Will thought it was funny.

It’s like laughing at someone who lost their hair because of Cancer.

It was cruel.

Now, being raised by his mom who was an English teacher, Will Smith is a stickler for proper use of grammar and even at one point in his career, he was against cursing.

He is not known to be a violent man but all home training flew out the door and Will Smith became gangsta. Not gangster …GANGSTA!

When Will Smith sat down after slapping Chris, he looked pi**ed and was reported yelling at the comedian:

“Keep my wife’s name out your f****ng mouth”

His friends Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry were seen pulling him to the side and talking to him to help him get over it during the break.

That’s what good friends do.

Now critics are calling Will Smith a narcissistic asshole suffering from toxic masculinity.

Harsh!

While I can’t say I applaud anyone for violence. I do give a head nod to Will for slapping Chris across the face for his hurtful joke. It was a completely understandable human fallacy. Movie stars are expected to act professionally and act like their shit doesn’t stink when people make fun of them and hurt them. But the world just caught Will Smith in his humanity being human, AND during one of his highest achievements.

Will Smith won an Oscar that night!

My Opinion?

Hey, no one is perfect

If you talk about a man’s wife, especially if she’s suffering from a medical condition, you might get slapped in the f****ng face.

This was NOT a publicity stunt. It was a flesh and blood man defending the woman he loves regardless of the circumstances.

If I were his wife Jada, I would f**k the s**t out of my man for defending me on the biggest night of his career.

The thing about being human is that we are wrong sometimes. When we are, it’s best to apologize:

When people argue that he initially didn’t apologize to Chris at the Oscars. It was because he wasn’t sorry, he was pissed. If he apologized that night it would've been an inauthentic apology. That’s the thing about what happened, he was being human. It makes sense that he apologized after the fact because he needed to digest it, come to terms with what he had done and truly feel sorry before he apologized:

Updated reflection:

Ruminating about all of this may be a moot point because this may all be FAKE.

Truth be told the Oscar rating has been dropping at a dramatic rate. People just were not watching the Oscars as they used to…which makes the conspiracy that Smith’s slap was a secret plan by Oscars sponsor Pfizer to stir up international interest in alopecia look a bit valid.

I mean if it were true it would make sense. Pfizer did sponsor the Oscars. Jada does have alopecia. She is not making big hit movies like her husband. Pfizer is one of the biggest pharmaceuticals in the world.

What if Pfizer is trying to get its drug for alopecia approved by the FDA …a little publicity wouldn’t hurt, right?

These are all actors that can pull a fake slap off and everyone gets paid millions …hey …if you look at it that way …Everyone wins :

And I bet Will gets to keep the award …cuz the Oscars were in on it from the get-go…LOL

For all we know, Chris and Will are clicking champagne glasses 🥂cheering and laughing at our ass or believing the illusions of the big screen! 🤩
