How to apply for companies?
I’m really curious about it. Many companies complian that they can’t find talented employees. There are several reasons.
In this century colleges graduate students that just know how to make exams. Especially engineering schools understand me.
They are working for passing exams but no one thinks about how to produce software or building a construction or making a PCB card.
In the real world, companies work for money. No offence but it’s the truth. Each company has one goal. Making Money. It’s the nature of companies.
People should understand that if they don’t add value to the company, they are needless. If I hire, you need to make something easier or you should have something that I don’t have.
Because I have to sell my product, a service or something else to pay your salary.
So What’s the problem that students can’t learn at school?
Less Quality Schools
Every year a college opens all around the world but there are not enough professors. Everyone wants to join a great university but it can be. Also there is a trend. Every parent wants their children to become an engineer or doctor or something else. If everyone joins university who is going to work on hand jobs?
I’m a software engineer but before that I’m a farmer. Still I work on my grandpa’s farm. I know how to grow corn and cotton. If AI replaces my place, I don’t mind. I have my land to farm.
Everyone have to have other skills. If you are a engineer you need to learn, farming or mining or basic construction. You may have studied health sciences at university. Also you can learn blacksmith at weekends,
Unequal Earnings
Every company needs employees bu there is one thing you should know. They have to produce product cheaper than your salary. I mean if you are making 5k a month you need to bring more than 5k to company. Otherwise company could not make a profit.
I said that because companies are searching for cheaper employees. Believe me there is always one person accepts less salary than you.
So you have to work hard and also you should get experience as much as you can.
College Culture
I remember that I was struggling with meeting new people at university. I was shy and not easy going person. University helped me get over that.
You can learn coding at your home but you can’t learn working together at home. University helps you more than code. It provides a habit to grow. You meet people, work together, build projects with them and many etc. Directors at companies know that.
It’s not just coding, it’s building a system.
Conclusion
We talked about why still big companies want to see a degree. It has many samples but we talked about a little facts. I don’t say you can get job without a degree but it is quite hard. Be the first to get a label for yourself.
