Summary

The author shares a personal story illustrating the Law of Attraction (LOA) and the concept of synchronicity, emphasizing the importance of clear goal visualization and detachment for manifesting desires.

Abstract

The narrative begins with the author in a state of disbelief and amusement, recounting a series of seemingly unfortunate events that led to a serendipitous outcome. After missing a job interview due to a flat tire and a series of delays, the author indulges in a favorite pastime, which results in an encounter that fulfills a previously envisioned fantasy. This experience prompts reflection on the principles of LOA and success planning, which advocate for a detailed visualization of goals, accompanied by the associated emotions, followed by a release of attachment to the outcome. The author suggests that by doing so, the universe conspires to make these visions a reality, a concept also related to Carl Jung's theory of synchronicity. The article is part of a 30-day challenge on self-improvement and encourages readers to embrace the mysterious workings of life.

Opinions

  • There is an emphasis on the importance of listening to one's inner voice and being open to unexpected turns of events.
  • The article suggests that letting go of the attachment to a specific outcome is crucial in allowing the universe to orchestrate the necessary events for one's desires to manifest.
  • The author implies that life's synchronicities and the LOA are interconnected, supporting the idea that thoughts and desires can influence real-world outcomes.
  • The narrative conveys a sense of wonder and gratitude for the unexpected ways in which life can fulfill one's deepest desires, often in ways that one cannot anticipate.

When the Universe Conspires for you

Or, how the heck did that happen?

I was laughing hysterically and shaking my head in disbelief. whodaeverthunkit?

I suppose I better start from the beginning so you would understand.

My son was getting late for school, and he needed a ride. I was trying to decide if I wanted to go for the job interview, even though I wasn’t thrilled about accepting the position. All the while, I was distracted by social media all along.

“Get up. NOW!” The inner voice was emphatic with the command. I got up and took my son to school. Still unsure about whether or not to go for the job interview, I pulled in to the c-store to get a drink. When I returned, I had an almost flat. Problem solved.

Wal-mart was just around the corner, so I headed to get the flat fixed. It would be 30–45 minutes, and they’ll page me when ready. An hour later, I stroll back to the tire center. They had paged me 10 minutes after I dropped off the van; I wasn’t paying attention because I wasn’t expecting the page.

They said they couldn’t work on it for safety reasons. It turns out; they had mistaken my van for another one of the same models. They’ll get on it, pronto! Another hour later, I got my van back.

I had already missed the job interview; I didn’t want to go anyway. I wasn’t working, obviously, so I decided to indulge in my favorite pastime, riding the Metro around town. The bus pulled out as I was parking the van at the Park ‘n Ride lot. I won’t bore you with all the other “missed” connections, not that they mattered; I wasn’t going anywhere in particular, but it “forced” me to make different connections than the ones I wanted.

I met a lady on one of the buses, and we connected. When I left her, I was laughing hysterically and shaking my head in disbelief. One of my fantasies had come to pass, EXACTLY as I had envisioned.

What does that have to do with self-improvement, you ask? Nothing and everything.

I had a vision, a clearly defined image of what I desired with all the emotions associated with it, encrypted in my mind. Having done so, I had forgotten about it. After all, it was just a fantasy.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, that is one of the principles of LOA and success planning: Clearly define your goal in all the minute details, experience fully in your imagination how you will feel when you achieved it, and then let it go. Give up your attachment to it.

If you do that, the Universe will conspire in your favor and orchestrate all that needs to happen for it to come to fruition.

Carl Jung called it synchronicity. Dr. Mehmet Yildiz has it as a part of his success formula for this community. Oh, also, listen to that inner voice, but that is another topic for another day.

Life works in a mysterious way. Let it.

Day 4 of the 30-day challenge. My theme: Self-Improvement.

As always, thank you for reading. Here are the first three days.
