What is Love?
I have come to realize that Love is not just a feeling, but an action, a verb.
How to use it as an action, a verb
We can choose to use this powerful word, this powerful action verb, to help us get unstuck when we feel stumped, stunned, blocked, uncertain, unsure, afraid, about life, relationships, health, and even our work.
I want to share with you a simple tool, a simple question, I often use when I feel stuck or uncertain about some area of my life.
I take a deep breath and simply ask myself:
What would Love do now?
That’s it. Pretty simple, huh?
I may have to sit with it for a few minutes, take a few deep breaths. I listen to my inner wisdom, my intuition, my gut. I know I can always trust the answer.

Other powerful loving action words
If you want to play with this powerful question a little more, you can substitute some other Loving words.
How about Kindness, Gentleness, Peace, Calm, Easy, Acceptance, Spirit, Heart, Service?
Think about any other Loving words that resonate for YOU.
Let the options and actions roll through your mind. Which feels the most Loving action to the other person? And, which feels the most Loving to yourself?
A Loving action may appear to be small, simple, authentic, easy.
And, yet, Love is BIG, isn’t it? Love is from the heart, not the head. Listen to your heart. The most Loving choice may be a service for yourself rather than for another.
Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love. -Lao Tzu
If you have a hard time determining which action feels the most loving, substitute the word Love with the others you noted above.
- What would Kindness do now?
- What would Gentleness do now?
- What would Peace or Calm do now?
- What would Acceptance do now?
- What would my Heart like to do now?
Listen to your intuition.
This may take you out of your comfort zone. To create a fulfilled life we need a mix of stability and growth. Stability makes us feel safe. Growth makes us feel alive.
The Loving choice may be a move into growth.

An answer will come that feels like the most Loving answer.
You do not have to choose this answer, but if you do, you will feel in sync, on purpose, authentic. You will feel loving, peaceful.
As we all know, Love is the strongest, highest, most spiritual choice.
Choosing the Loving choice is choosing our truth, our wisdom.
