Summary

The website content provides guidance on how to lose weight through smart beverage choices, emphasizing the importance of water, the negative impact of liquid calories, and the benefits of black coffee and green tea.

Abstract

The article "What to Drink to Lose Weight" emphasizes that weight loss is not solely dependent on diet but also on the choice of beverages. It suggests that water should be the primary source of hydration due to its calorie-free nature, ability to boost metabolism, and potential to reduce hunger. The article warns against the high calorie content in fruit juices, soft drinks, and alcohol, which can sabotage weight loss efforts. It also highlights the metabolism-boosting effects of black coffee and the fat-burning properties of green tea, which can aid in weight management. The author concludes by reiterating the significance of beverage selection for achieving a desired physique.

Opinions

  • Drinking water before meals can lead to consuming fewer calories and has thermogenic effects that aid in fat burning.
  • Liquid calories from fruit juices, soft drinks, and alcohol are often overlooked but can significantly contribute to total calorie intake and hinder weight loss.
  • Alcohol not only has high caloric content but also promotes belly fat storage and hinders the body's fat-burning processes.
  • Black coffee, when consumed especially on an empty stomach and before physical activity, can increase energy expenditure and enhance fat burning.
  • Green tea contains catechins, such as epigallocatechin gallate, which are believed to boost thermogenesis, support fat burning, and reduce the absorption of carbohydrates.

It is not only about what you eat.

Do you want to lose weight?

Then listen to me carefully. This article will open your eyes and hopefully help you reach your weight goals. When trying to lose weight, we often pay very close attention to what we eat.

When it comes to drinks, on the other hand, discipline tends to wane. The beer in the evening and the cold coke on a warm summer day simply taste too good for many people. But they often don’t know the high price they pay for it.

With the following drinking rules, you can melt your fat and maybe even indulge in a bar or two of chocolate more, because drinks can make a huge difference.

1. Drink mainly Water

The majority of your hydration should be in the form of water. It has no calories, boosts your metabolism, and can even make you feel less hungry.

A large glass of water before each meal will make you eat fewer calories.

In addition, water is a real fat burner because it boosts thermogenesis. Your body has to heat up the cool water to your body temperature, which uses energy and thus stimulates fat burning.

2. Few liquid calories

We often underestimate how many calories are actually in fruit juices and soft drinks.

Not to mention alcohol. More on that later.

The sugar in sweet drinks can destroy your entire calorie balance and keep you from losing weight. There are 37 calories in 100 ml of cola, 34 in apple spritzer, and 45 in orange juice. Since you probably drink more than 100 ml of it comes together already considerable sums, which you should save yourself if you are serious about losing weight.

3. Alcohol makes you fat

And sick. But that’s not what we’re talking about here. I will limit myself here to the effects on body weight.

Similar to soft drinks, alcohol has a lot of calories. 100 ml of beer can contain up to 40–50 calories. But it gets even worse.

In addition, alcohol promotes the storage of belly fat and inhibits fat burning. Since alcohol is a cellular toxin, the body’s top priority is to deal with and break down the toxin. In the process, other processes, such as fat burning, are neglected.

4. Black Coffee as a fat burner

Black coffee is a real boost for your metabolism. The contained caffeine increases your energy consumption and stimulates fat burning.

Especially fasted and followed by physical activity it works wonders. You can read more about it here.

5. Green Tea

Green tea is also a real weapon in the fight against pounds.

This is mainly thanks to catechins, more precisely epigallocatechin gallate. It stimulates thermogenesis, promotes fat burning, and protects against ravenous hunger attacks. It also inhibits the absorption of carbohydrates.

Final Thoughts

What you drink is crucial for your figure. Maybe even more important than what you eat. That is debatable. But if you internalize these 5 rules, you will be a big step closer to your dream body.

  • drink mainly water
  • few liquid calories
  • alcohol makes you fat
  • drink black coffee and green tea
