SCBWI Writing Prompt: Unwind
What If Life Was Meant To Be Easy
Don’t get all twisted and wound up. Let it be; Unwind.

About 15 years ago, on a website called Ryze.com, I wrote a post titled, Manifesting with effortless ease.
The premise was simple. Most every religion teaches that we, humans, have been created in the image of the Creator, and the Creator does so at will.
There is an idea in the Qur’an that when God wants to create a thing, He says, Be! And it is. Simple.
So, if we are created in the image of God, then if we want something to be in our lives, all we have to do is command it into being. Simple.
Of course, the process of creation may not be instantaneous. Just as the Universe has evolved over eons and is still evolving and changing, we must accept that our creation will have to go through its due process to show up on its final form. But there is no struggle, no hard work.
Work, maybe. That is if you consider everyday living to be work. But the process of creation itself would be effortless. For example, when I decided on walking Route 66, it was done. It took almost a year from the idea to the culmination of the project. But that is the process of manifestation. There was no effort required in the creation of it. I simply lived out what I had created in my mind.
Again, there is an oft-repeated idea in the Qur’an that God wants life to be easy for us if we only knew.
The struggle and hardship is our creation because we say it is going to be hard, and so it is!
Don’t get all twisted about it. Just unwind, and let it be.
