What Can You Possibly Expect by Visiting a Botanical Garden?
Well that was exact same question I asked my wife the day before yesterday

“We need to go to the Wetland Botanical Garden, tomorrow”. My wife said to me out of the blue, the day before yesterday.
“You mean tomorrow, like tomorrow-tomorrow”. I thought that I didn’t hear well. Normally, I liked to show her that I am listening to her every word. I am awesome like that.
Tomorrow means this weekend. I have plenty of things to do on the weekend. First of all, I have to clean the filter of my ‘Koi Fish’ tank. And then I planned to put some time on Medium this weekend.
Drinking a cup of tea and reading a few articles on our cozy sofa is my kind of weekend. So, I tried to change her mind.
“From where this thought has come, it is so sudden”
“Sudden? You promised me we are going somewhere this weekend, and You said that I can select the location. Now stop whining about”
Wait what? When did I say such a thing?
I am going to remove the next few hours of our discussion in this regard. It is enough for you to know that I agreed with her about visiting this Wetland Botanical Garden on next day. I am an awesome husband like that, always respect her decisions.
So that is why the reason I have found myself driving on Saturday morning to this Wetland Botanical Garden.
As we drove to the garden, I wondered what we were getting ourselves into. Would it be a dull display of bushes and shrubs, or would it be a lush paradise of exotic flowers and rare plants? I was about to find out.
To my surprise, the garden was breathtaking. My wife was beaming with joy — like our honeymoon day. Even I was having so much fun that I almost forgot about my “Koi Fish” filter and Medium articles.
Did I say almost? Because I found plenty of time to surf through a handful of reads while my wife is busy taking selfies.
I am not going to tell you all the details because I can’t. Perhaps someone else may describe the lush green grasslands filled with water holes and small lakes.
Flocks of birds who swimming on the lake's surface and occasionally dive into the water searching for a fish.
He may also describe the boat rides he has taken on the swan-shaped boat with his loved one, making small waves one after one.
Or he will describe to us the hike he has taken through the tree-shadowed trail all the way to the top of the tiny mountain at one end of the garden.
At least he will definitely tell us about the countless followers in different colors and fragrances.
Unfortunately, I don’t possess the ability to describe all of this one by one.
Instead, I have shared with you those selected photographs I have taken — Well, some of them may be taken by my wife. My intention is not to convert this into a slide show. Only to give you a glimpse of an idea of what I have witnessed.
In conclusion, I just have to tell you only this. You may have had other plans for your weekend. But listening to your wife can be a rewarding and enriching experience. Who knows, you may even discover a newfound appreciation for the natural world!
