Well Writing Involves A Lot of Bad Writing At First
Be Patient and Trust the Process
I love writing, and I always had. I am blogging since high school. I had written over 6000 articles so far, both technical and personal.
I started blogging as a hobby, writing about the things that happened to me at first. It was more like an online journal. This helped me boost my confidence and define a writing style.
The most important thing I had learned in this period is that good writing involves a lot of bad writing.
You don’t have to put useless pressure on yourself. I like to think that people don’t need to learn how to write, but become the persons that can write well. It’s a form of self-development.
At first, I wrote a lot of bad articles. I read the stuff I had written on an older blog a few years ago, and I felt sick. But that’s okay, actually. Looking back helped me keep track of my current writing level and made me understand the improvement.
And now, let me share with you some actionable advice.
Be Patient and Practice
Don’t put extra pressure on your shoulders. Instead, write more and do your best to evolve. Define a writing style, try to get into the “writer’s mindset,” and don’t do too much drama while at it.
Most of Your Articles Will Be Flops…
… and that’s okay.
You cannot predict which article will become viral and which will not. Many of your articles will be mediocre, but this should not stop you from writing. It would be best if you kept doing the hard work.
Study Your Favorite Writers
This is an easy method to steal some tricks from old dogs. Analyze other people’s work and try to learn from them. Steal many expressions, study their article structure, observe their writing approach, and try to borrow it, dunno.
Find a Way to Stay Creative
There are different things you can do to stay creative and relaxed. Discover the things that work for you. Having a writing mood and plenty of ideas represents the hardest part of the job, actually.
For example, when I don’t have writing ideas, I use Pinterest or read other articles. This works for me.
