We’d Hardly Spoken When He Kissed Me

Light Me Up Part 1 + Prompt Newsletter #7: I wasn’t a wallflower so wasted no time making sure I was shimmying my curves in his line of vision…

Light Me Up, Part One.

Divorce… I suppose it was inevitable it would happen to me. So here I am, taking my first break away as a single woman since 1985.

I can see the lighthouse from my hotel room window, and muse at how long it has been since I was standing at the entrance, about to climb the staircase. It was the year before I got married.

I suppose I’ve returned on purpose — to remember. But if truth be told, I’ve never forgotten.

I was twenty-two when a few girlfriends and I treated ourselves to a spa weekend. After the first night we’d had enough of healthy living, so went out on the town for a slap-up meal, some drinks and dancing at the main nightclub.

I was already tipsy when we walked in to Dance-it-up but noticed him — Zeb — immediately, sitting alone at the bar.

He was my type. Long hair pulled back in a ponytail. Skinny hips and a killer smile.

I wasn’t a wallflower, so wasted no time making sure I was shimmying my curves in his line of vision. After a few minutes, he looked over and beckoned me. As I sat next to him and our eyes met and I knew.

He did too.

The moment the story books talk about, and growing up you think it is fiction. Until… you experience it.

My heart skipped a beat and my mouth went dry.

We hadn’t even spoken when he took my hand, the bottle of wine he’d been nursing, and steered me into one of the small lounge rooms where it was quieter.

“I’m Zeb. Who… are you.”

“Carly.”

By now I had straddled him, knees on either side of his legs, my crotch on his when we kissed for the first time.

Fireworks.

My ears buzzed, and my body sizzled with passion.

His hand slid up the front of my shirt and roughly pulled at a nipple while our tongues danced.

We were so engaged I think we could easily have climaxed, but I broke away wanting to find out more.

Talk flowed as if we had known each other forever. He was a free spirit and had been staying for a few weeks in the deserted lighthouse with his sleeping bag and camping stove.

At 2 am, he took my hands and kissed the fingertips before saying,

“Come away with me? It won’t be easy. I’m a modern day nomad really, and tomorrow I leave for Ireland, where I’ll be working the fields for the summer. I can promise you one thing though… I will love you until the day I die.”

… to be continued.

Look out for part two on Monday 21st Nov…

New writers

We love to welcome new writers in general, be it their first time on Medium or on the publication. Recently, we were so happy to have these amazing authors join us:

  • Dianne Herbert — I sat down to write at a computer and some erotica appeared! I write erotica as well as true stories of living nude and my life. Top writer in “Short Story.”
  • Sebastian Castile — I’ve been writing now for two years and I am trying to focus on romantic erotic encounters.
  • Dee Per — Striving to make the world a better place through love, laughter, and the pursuit of happiness.
  • J.D. Masterly — 18+ only! I write sizzling hot erotica about people who just want to fuck. Threesomes, foursomes, swingers, cuckolding, hot wife, gangbangs, and impregnation.
  • Ryan Klemek — I write dinosaur erotica and mysteries featuring horny cat people. I also do the book cover illustrations. Sometimes I write reviews for movies that don’t exist.
  • Slevin Kimberly — A world traveler, quiet adventure seeker. Languishing in the essence of beauty. A voracious reader of books, water and women. A writer to a Muse of Light.

Statistics

I don’t concentrate too much on our statistics, because they can become skewed if one of our stories goes viral. Over the last 30 days, on average, the publication was getting a read time of 1175 minutes per day — (up from 858 a few months ago). With on average, 349 daily visitors. (Up from 249 in August). It seems that a member will come to the magazine and read more than one tale.

Our top three stories over the last two months were these:

  1. Imagine for a Moment that I’m your Wife by Solomon Sinn Seer
  2. A Hotwife In Montana by Hardison Parker
  3. Getting My Man at the Youth Club by Dianne Herbert

Solomon’s story went viral and has nearly 6K views. Check out more about our viral and most viewed stories here : Summer 2022: Sizzling Top Tantalizing Tales: Stories to keep you HOT at night as we head through Autumn…

Team News

We are happy to have the wonderful writer and person Marie A. Rebelle joining us as ad hoc editor on Tantalizing Tales. Marie will also be helping me with some of the admin. Remember, Marie has her own publication too. On Tantalizing Tales, where serials are concerned we want them short, and recommend you head over to Marie’s Serial Stories to host your work if it is over five parts long.

Posy and I have been very lucky to have Mrs. K as part of our team since the start of our publication. But did you know she also runs a meme from her personal blog? Mmm Mondays is really worth getting involved with. The idea is to add one of your sexy story links to the weekly Mmm post, then other readers and writers get the chance to click on it and read. Not only that, your story will be promoted on Twitter. Some of you may have already noticed Mrs. k showcasing a Tantalizing Tale each week from her Twitter meme account. If you want to give it a go and are not sure how, then please ask any questions in the comments.

Marsha Adams continues to support practically all your stories as they get published, so make sure you give our 5th team member and totally brilliant writer some love!

Find out here what we all do on Ttales — HERE.

I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.
