Viral, 7%, Top Writer and 1500 Followers in 3 Days
June is shaping up to be amazing!
Looks like June might just be the best month ever. Accomplishments and exuberance have been coming up day after day and I have been living in a state of bliss and constant jumping around for joy.
I can’t tell you how many times I laughed and cried these days. Sometimes simultaneously.
When I started writing on Medium I expected nothing. I didn’t even know I could expect something, that’s why my first 15 stories were not even monetized. I was just writing. Doing it because I was in a very dark place in my life. Writing kept me busy and gave me something else to do than be depressed.
It was writing itself, more than anything else, that made me feel better and better and gave me the energy to keep going and hope for something more.

I was also grateful for every moment that I spent feeling better and doing what I love. As a result, things started to slowly look up.
The number of followers was growing, and the number of reads as well.
Getting a much-needed job as a result of my writing was a huge success.
And then everything started to go crazy!
May ended and I was eager to see how I did. I was deliriously happy to find that:
- On June 1st, I was in the coveted triple digits and the elusive 7% with 129$!
- The next day, I had a story go viral!
- The same day, I had my first referred member!
- Also on June 2nd, I reached my 1500 followers benchmark!
- And June 3rd brought me the Top Writer status in Advice!
Can you believe it?! I couldn’t.
By June 4th I was so tired from all the strong emotions that I had to take 2 days off from writing. Good thing I had 2 stories written and scheduled in advance.
Joy is exhausting! And I love it!
I woke up refreshed and started writing. It’s 5 AM here on June 6th. I’m well-rested and ready to write-write-write and read-read-read.
It’s my 3rd month on Medium. Purpose: spend it with you.
