Increasing homeless. Rising Inflation. Job losses. High Home prices. Strict Policing.

What is the story with homeless solutions.

Economy.

Do the homeless play a part in the economy.

Work. A lot of the homeless are working. Some could possibly be ill.

Stay. Many solutions for homeless include providing limited housing, food, education. Provide temporary, part time, migrant jobs.

Part. Instead the solution should be about being a member of society, part of the economy and enjoying the benefits: home, income and social life.

Growing the economy should include participation by homeless, marginalized.

Rural.

Low cost living all over the place outside major metro areas.

Work from home. Live in rural area. Online internet and delivery services.

Commute from rural area. Group travel using bus for 4 day work week. Sleep in bus with toilet facilities.

National Parks with tents, fireplaces, campgrounds and basic facilities.

This would be good for economic growth and near sourcing of jobs.

Work.

Don’t have to worry about commute, rest, meaningful activity during workdays.

Bunk Beds at offices for workers. Used during workdays and weekdays only.

Coworking spaces to work and take naps. Invest in a small home elsewhere.

Towers with garages only for parking areas. Equipped with toilets and lounges.

Big Box Stores like Walmart could have full underground hostels and activities for hourly workers to be used during workdays. With vegetable greenhouses on rooftops.

Employers can provide convenience because it can reduce costs or taxes.

Nature and Public.

Infrastructure is not just a cost issue but can be appreciated in many ways.

Canals in cities for travel as well as houseboats.

Local Gardens with playgrounds and picnic areas. Could have underground shelters with bed and baths for short term says. Homeless could do some garden work in return for food and bed.

Shopping Malls. Bus or Train Stations. Underground shelters with bath and bunk beds. Short term stays for travelers as well as hourly workers. Some cooking and cleaning for short term stays.

Community Support.

Gyms, cafes, libraries and community colleges could be equipped with sleep pods or bunk beds for post class naps for short term stays. Take some classes in return for short term stays.

Apps for short term stays. Find places in backyard, front street parking, couch, spare room, porch. Provide tax incentives to let homeless stay.

Government buildings are empty at night and could provide safe, secure shelters at the lower level for bad weather stays with emergency facilities.

Not just about being a part of the economy but being a part of society and having access to facilities and infrastructure.

Rehab.

Not expensive and actually adds value to the economy.

Rehab resort in scenic area. See the mountains lakes woods. Spend time on yoga and fitness along with gardening and music or reading.

Rehab Hostels for homeless with various facilities, staff and activities.

Metaverse and AI gadgets to provide new age solutions for homelessness.

Bike trails across the landscapes with fully equipped rest stops.

Provide education, fitness, diet and rest support to go along with the stay.

Alternatives.

Homelessness creates other problems.

Compared to: People living in storage units. Out on the street or below highways. Encampments in the woods.

Having to deal with cops or social workers for security issues. Rush to emergencies at hospitals.

Solutions will actually help the local tourism, hotel and travel industry.
