How to Add Unsplash Images to Medium Stories

Step 1.

Click on any blank space in a Medium draft.

Step 2.

Click the + icon to access the Medium toolbar editor.

Step 3.

Click the magnifying glass icon.

Step 4.

Type in a search term for photos you want on Unsplash and press enter.

Step 5.

Click the photo and Unsplash inserts the selected photo in your Medium story with the caption pre-formatted to attribute the creator.

  • While the images on Unsplash are generally high quality, they are not all large enough to be your article’s featured image. Your image needs to be at least 1060 px wide for all four placement options to show up.
