Unexpected Tidings As Battle Rages
A chapter of a ‘choose your own’ story — Drabble edition!

You flee through the forest. As you go, you hear a battle raging. Perhaps that zombie-dwarf actually meant to warn you?
An elven youth runs by, crying, and you stop her. “What’s happening?”
She pauses. “A great dwarven army is besieging the castle, and our queen is surely going to be killed!”
“That’s awful!”
“And somebody stole her magical rubber figurine!” Sobbing, the youth runs on.
“Oh… damn,” you mutter, “so Death continues his sick game.”
“You called?” says a grim voice.
As a hooded figure looms towards you, you sprint away, outpacing him as you dodge through the trees.
You decide to:
- Run on at top speed, hoping to lose him on the mountain (click here)
- Turn and punch Death in the face (click here).
- Hide among the trees (click here).
