Tying Up Loose Ends

Steps to take for abundance to show up

This morning I woke up with a fire in my soul. I had a feeling that lots of things needed to be done today. Yesterday’s events ignited that fire. I am preparing to receive as I also give. Abundance is showing me the way. Sometimes these signals feel like obstacles like the internet going out or my phone not working. However, they are all preparing me for something greater. They are taking my focus off of the unimportant, to things that need my attention. It is all part of my 100-day journey focusing on abundance and exploring the book The Tao of Abundance: Eight Ancient Principles for Abundant Living by Laurence G. Boldt.

My phone was inoperable for most of the day yesterday. It turned out that I needed to do a factory reset on my phone to get it running again. It was a blessing in disguise. I believe that the universe and abundance were pointing me in the direction of lots of loose ends I had to tie up. Often when we have all of our devices running, we lose track of what is paramount in our lives.

When one’s feeling capacity is open, one realizes-not as a thought but as an ongoing felt experience- that one is being nourished by all of life. One has the experience of the gift, the feeling that one is constantly receiving. -Laurence G. Bolt

Preparation is my abundance right now. I have a feeling that I am being lead to something great. That is why I must get everything in my life in order. My nourishment has been the obstacle put on my path. Yesterday my mind was not clouded by a million messages. That gave me time to think and reflect. My inner being pointed me toward some tasks that needed my attention.

Here I will list the actions I took to get myself back on track. Abundance is leading the way on this journey. I must make sure I have my home and my life in order so that more will flow into my life. My hope is that this list will bring to mind loose ends that you need to tie up as well.

  1. I made a list of all outstanding tasks for this year. We all have things that we resist doing. These are the ones that we must pay attention to. I sometimes resist doing my accounting. I made a date with myself to get all of my accounting up to date. This time, I will set a date for each month to do my accounting. I will make sure it is a special occasion, with my favorite drink and snacks by my side. I will also play some fun music. I know I need to train myself to look forward to this day.
  2. I made a donation to an organization that I had been meaning to donate to for quite a while. Paying it forward and supporting others not only is the way to abundance. It brings joy to my heart.
  3. I ordered an album of the remaining photos that were on my phone and titled it Best Moments. It will arrive in the mail shortly, and it will bring smiles to our faces remembering our travels as a family. Now I can safely delete all of those extra photos on my phone.
  4. I took all of the video clips from my phone and edited it in my LumaFusion app on my phone into one long video that we can enjoy. I can now upload it to Dropbox and keep it without having to keep all of those videos on my phone.
  5. I cleaned out all of the unnecessary punch cards, expired cards, and pieces of paper from my wallet. Your wallet is the home for your money, so for abundance to flow in, you need to keep your house tidy.

I realize that my phone was so bogged down with old photos, videos, messages, and more. It was creating a clog in my mind as well as in my life. Some things were flowing along, and others were not. Today I feel a renewed energy as if the systems in my life are back in running order.

My prayer and my intention for you today is to take a look at any clogs you have in your life. Where is the flow being stopped? Do you have tasks you have been resisting?

Day #5: What actions can you take to allow more to flow into your life?
