Tower
Poetry of love
* I built you up like a tower, That reaches to the sky.
Displaying majestic features, Around the stairwell of your mind.
And I fly you up to your freedom, Where no other eyes can see.
As you saved my soul in a broken world, Over charcoal centuries.
So I know your truth like a tower, How magnificent you are.
And my soul delights when I see your face, As I hold you in my heart.
Why I built you high in the Summer sun, So the earth could see my gold.
In the fields of green where the flowers stir, A celebration of pure love.
Now I feel your strength like a tower, That reaches to the sky.
So I stand well back to observe my love, Against the moonlit night.
Then I dance around along the tower’s edge, Shining beautiful with light.
And you feel like home for everything I know.
Why I love you more than life.
Why you will never hear goodbye.
