Top 5 Stories From Ahmed Jamal So Far

Stories I have written since joining Medium and becoming part of the ILLUMINATION family.

In response to the challenge made to us, writers, by Dr Mehmet Yildiz, the founder, and leader of ILLUMINATION, I decided to compile the list of my own top five favorite stories so far since I started writing on Medium. I hope you enjoy reading them all.

First

I joined Medium in December 2019 and started writing in the same month posting my first article about my journey on joining this platform. I still remember how excited I was when I first hit the publish button and within seconds there it was real and authentic words of mine. The feelings of that day will always remain with me, that is why I am making it my number one story because first things are always special just like your first love.

Second

By the turn of the new year 2020, I decided to start with writing about kindness, a trait that is very natural to every living being but to me, it has been deeply rooted in my upbringing. I still believe kindness is an act we should all practice each and every day no matter what circumstance we are going through. I hope once you read it, you start to become more kind than you are right now. so without a doubt, this is my number second story.

Third

My third article is about my own bio. It also happens to be the first post I wrote when I joined ILLUMINATION, so it has some special status compared to others because it is the opening of a new chapter of my writing journey so far. I hope to have introduced myself very well here.

Fourth

The fourth one is about a fiction idea of a man who just lived for a week. It stayed in my mind for more than 13 years until I finally got the chance to produce it and explain it based on our real-life experience. After publishing it, someone suggested turning this story into a fiction novel which I thought about long ago, but due to my current circumstances it is not possible for me yet but surely it's in my future plans.

Fifth

Finally, my top fifth story is about ILLUMINATION. A place where I can proudly and happily call home. A place where you can get all the support you need in order to improve no matter where you are from or whatever level you are.

I haven’t written many after this post due to personal reasons but I am always around the home trying to welcome new family members as much as possible while at the same staying in touch with the old ones.

Final thoughts

Writing is changing my life gradually, the feeling you get after you publish your stories alone makes it worthy to continue writing. The future looks bright especially after joining ILLUMINATION.
