Google started recognizing our creative work.
I assume you have seen the inspiring article from Chris Hedges 🦄. Please read it and understand what we are trying to do. This is a non-trivial activity.
We are now in good terms with Google. We need to maintain it.
However, it is time to level up!
As you know, the second biggest search engine is YouTube.
YouTube is so big that the whole world knows about it and use it creatively. Every celebrity and their dogs in there and embraced it. You can find anything on YouTube. It is time for us to tap into the magical power of YouTube.
To this end, I created a YouTube channel which is exclusive to ILLUMINATION writers. My aim is to use this channel to promote our writers and their creative content in an innovative way.
We will start small but grow iteratively on YouTube. I have a solid plan.
Initially, I will start hosting a 5 to 10 minutes of clips prepared by our creative writers introducing themselves as they did in their bio articles here.
Once we have around 50 videos by our writers, I will start promoting the channel using various means and a number of influencers whose names I will mention in the future.
Action for ILLUMINATION Writers
I recommend each writer to record a high-quality video introducing themselves with appealing photos and some article abstracts with interesting fonts and color schemes.
For example, you can introduce your books, read your poem, or high impact article title, perhaps reading the abstract and providing the Medium link on the screen with big fonts. You can add some pleasant background music. Check some celebrity videos especially New York Best selling ones, how they promote themselves. You can model some inspiring ones.
Quality is extremely important on YouTube. Please use a high-resolution camera preferably 4K. If you can afford to get it done professionally it can be an excellent investment for your writing career. Hopefully, it will be tax deductible in your country.
When your video is ready, please send me a request from this link, and I will give you instructions to host your videos.
This is a fantastic opportunity for our writers to promote their artistic capabilities in the biggest media content platform in the world. When the whole world indoors nowadays, YouTube is watched more than ever.
Who knows you can be discovered by those best-selling media agents. Remember Justin Bieber, who was discovered on YouTube and has 53M followers now. You have the same chance and potential if you promote yourself well. This is the chance to show your creative juice to the world.

Once you prepare your video, I plan to host them in our publication. In addition, you can attach them in your Medium articles for internal promotion. A single video can be used for multi-purposes. We will tweet them and link to every possible media company, including LinkedIn.
In addition, your videos can be indexed by Google. Chris Hedges 🦄will certainly help you with that. As you know, Google loves YouTube as its favorite child. More opportunities appear in that end.
