Abstract

The narrative of "Time Rifts 33 — Lost inside 12 Minutes" unfolds with Touzdae navigating the enigmatic Mu One ship, witnessing its pristine condition and encountering interdimensional beings Shisla and Barua. She experiences a profound connection with Tu Mai, whose presence leaves a lasting impact on her. Meanwhile, Jac's consciousness merges with the multiverse, only to be pulled back by the Gypsums, leaving him in a state of grief and introspection. The Gypsums, realizing Jac's lack of readiness for their collective consciousness, decide to observe him for further development. Elsewhere, Kurtz plots the destruction of Earth's worlds with the Newts, and Jax Kristos, Jac's cousin, encounters Touzdae in a dream, leading to a hopeful reunion.

Opinions

  • Touzdae feels a magnetic attraction to a mysterious woman and later to Tu Mai, indicating a theme of profound interpersonal connections transcending physical reality.
  • The Gypsums' disappointment in Jac's inability to understand their expectations suggests a clash of consciousness levels and the complexity of interspecies communication.
  • Kurtz's possessive claim over Earth and his alliance with the emotionless Newts reflect a villainous intent to reshape reality for his own agenda.
  • Jax Kristos' longing for Touzdae, which spans centuries, underscores the enduring nature of love and desire, even in a universe filled with advanced technology and multiversal travel.
  • The narrative implies that time and space are malleable, with characters experiencing stretches of time differently, hinting at the relativity of temporal perception within the story's universe.
  • The mention of the Indigo Award for Healing received by Jax Kristos suggests a societal recognition of exceptional achievements within this fictional universe, highlighting the value placed on such virtues.

Recap TR32 Thwarted: Kurtz was furious that Mu-2 wasn’t synced up with Mu-1 and had a rage tantrum. He conferred with Number 8 and invited her to dinner (code for sex).

Touzdae jumped as Mu-One engaged its Faster-Than-Light drive and included Jac. Jac was thwarted by the suit even though he shut it down.

Gypsums arrived and tried to remove Jac from his suit and failed. They transported him to the Lingam Egg surrounded by a pride of lions. Jac collapsed his suit. Jac’s consciousness began to expand.

Number 8 or Eeeron has sex with Kurtz. She feels it’s the best with Kurtz due to his communication. He orders her to get a good night’s sleep while he goes to Earth.

Touzdae wanders/runs through the ship in stretched time and space.

Jac’s consciousness is expanded beyond himself. He loses his sense of self and becomes one with the multiverse. The Gypsums pull him out and the suit erects around Jac as Jac goes into stillness feeling immense grief having disconnected from the Oneness.

Kurtz looks at Earth, claiming it as his possession. He lands at the top of a floated dome as big as Russia and China. He meets with an emotionless species — the Newts. Together they plan the destruction of two joined worlds on Earth to form an alternate primary reality. Kurtz vows revenge on “him and his friends”.

Current episode:

Jac, can you feel me, my love, Touzdae placed the gift of her heartfelt thoughts in Jac’s auric field. She received energy of love from his heart to her heart without words.

The forcefield that held her went down as the FTL drive engaged. Touzdae lost her hold on Jac as she jumped. She felt his intense frustration. Touzdae entered the jump-space-time. Spacetime stretched out.

The Mu was devoid of life. I expected as much, she thought. But it looks new, untested, unused. Two figures from a different dimension swam in and out of view. One male about Jac’s height and a female about my height, she thought. She made eye contact with me. Is she attracted to me?

“Shisla, do you see that woman over there?” the woman asked. She was adorned in a toga-styled robe.

“What?” startled — Shisla, clothed in a similar robe asked. “Where?” He turned. Touzdae’s image had faded. “I see a disturbance in the dimensional field. That’s all.”

“There was a very attractive and fascinating woman there,” Shisla’s companion said.

“We must stay on mission, Barua,” Shisla stated.

“Yes and make a space for Tu Mai to enter,” Barua replied. “I am on purpose.”

They are talking and they don’t see me, Touzdae thought. “The woman has a magnetic draw. I wonder if he feels it,” she whispered.

A man appeared behind her. Touzdae felt his immense presence and turned.

I know you, she thought.

He smiled full of transcendent love for her.

She felt his — Yes — thought and worlds of plenty. It is as if he sees my full life.

It felt like an eternity, their eyes connected. Later after he faded ever-so-slowly from view, Touzdae felt the eternity they shared with one another. It lasted seconds, or a minute.

It was Tu Mai.

Days passed. Or was it only seconds? Jac remained steadfast in the stillness. The grief faded as the connection revealed it’s presence. He felt the connection.

The tallest of the Gypsums approached him.

Do you surrender it to us? The Gypsum’s thought presented before him as a gift.

Jac perceived the question from a great distance. What — is — it? He thought at a slowed pace.

You — know — what — it is, the thought came back on the verge of an accusation.

Nothing. Jac became nothing.

The one Gypsum turned to the others and sent an array of thoughts. They nodded and left the room.

When they entered the chamber with the Lingam Egg they gathered in a circle. The tall one spoke:

“He is not yet ready for our consciousness. He does not know what we want of him,” the figure said.

“When will he be ready?” a second one asked.

“Maybe soon, but most likely not,” the third said.

“Release him and keep our attention on him to see if he will reveal it,” the tallest one said.

They all nodded in affirmative.

The Mu One stopped with a recoiling action. The compressions from the Faster-Than-Light Jump expanded with rapidity. Captain Tommalar released himself from his seat. It took a full minute for him to get his bearings.

Touzdae fell through membranes of spacetime. The Gypsums transported Jac to the healers’ med bay, suit and all.

Jax, Jac’s timid cousin, had strapped himself into his queen-sized bunk. For safety he turned on the restraining forcefield too. He traveled into a dreamtime dream of a party he had been to centuries ago. The clan of Kritos gave Jac a party. Bendel was there, Luna, Jac, and Touzdae. It was the first time he had seen her, seen Touzdae. She looked into his eyes as if she saw everything about him. It was love, he was sure of it. He longed for Touzdae since that time even throughout his marriage. The longing grew after his wife had passed.

As the jump ended Jax heard a collision in the next chamber within his suite. He rose unsteadily. Too soon, he thought and sat. He waited the requisite amount of time. He rose and rushed into the main salon of his suite. There she was, Touzdae, unconscious on the carpeted deck. He picked her up in his arms and carried her to his bed.

“It’s a dream come true,” he whispered to himself. He placed her carefully on the bed. He began healing ministrations upon her. A plaque on the wall showed a holo-photo of Jax Kristos receiving the Indigo Award for Healing. Indigo Awards were given for the highest achievements in many arenas.

“My dream of her coming to me has manifested,” he whispered.
