Summary

In "Arc of the Immortals: Book Two," Jac and Simm navigate perilous time rifts and dimensional jumps, while Captain Tommalar oversees an FTL jump, and Kurtz deals with the complexities of parallel universes and his own ambitions.

Abstract

"Arc of the Immortals: Book Two" continues the sci-fi saga with Jac and Simm escaping attack bots by descending into a chamber of pink goo and subsequently navigating through a vent system to free Touzdae. Meanwhile, Captain Tommalar prepares for a faster-than-light (FTL) jump, ensuring Jac's safety. Kurtz, a powerful figure, grapples with the intricacies of alternate realities, particularly the synchronous FTL jumps of Prime Mu and Alt Mu. The narrative delves into the metaphysical as Jac's consciousness expands beyond humanoid limitations, merging with the Multiverse. Kurtz's ambitions extend to reshaping Earth's history, while the Gypsums observe Jac's transformation with interest. The story weaves through time rifts, personal ambitions, and the broader tapestry of the Multiverse.

Recap TR 31 To The Sphere and — : Jac and the sniper Simm avoid the bots hunting them by sliding down a tube into the depths of the Mu. Jac modulates the forcefield to prevent the attack bots from killing them. Simm and Jac fire thrusters and fall into a chamber or pink goo.

Jac catches the last descending flying attack bot and points its laser at the membrane of the chamber. He throws the bot into the goo. The bots heat up the goo and cause a slow-moving fire. Simm helps Jac through the slit as the flaming go plops out of the chamber. They climb out of the basin and shut the hatch just as the goo’s gas explodes.

Jac and Simm make their way up.

Meanwhile, Captain Tommalar commands the navigation crew to give him jump points now that the FTL (faster-than-light) drive is online. the Captain gets word through Suke that Jac is safe and on board.

Jac and Simm crawl through a vent above the chamber where Touzdae is held. In the chamber, Simm fires her suit gun at the first node. The forcefield falls away seconds before the twelve-minute FTL jump. Touzdae jumps and attempts to take Jac with her as the ship jumps.

Current Episode: Kurtz was furious. By his decree, he was transported into “The Rage Chamber”. He spent one minute destroying old defunct equipment. He returned 20 seconds after he left.

“Where is Alt Mu, now?” He asked Number 8.

“Their FTL was repaired three seconds after Prime Mu activated theirs. According to the 6 Entu Monks, Prime Mu executed their jump 12 minutes before Alt Mu. Their destinations matched, and both ships arrived at the same place 3 minutes apart. Their discreet dimensions have maintained integrity and with attunement. Alt Mu caught up somehow. Conflicted reports from the Entu Monks. My team and I are sorting it out.”

“Excellent work! Sort it out or have the Monks questioned and report back to me. This is your priority,” Kurtz commanded.

Kurtz leaned into her ear and said, “Dinner at 1900 hours?” Number 8 was a very attractive woman.

“Yes, of course, sir.”

Touzdae jumped as the FTL engaged. She worked to include Jac in her jump.

“This damn suit!” Jac was pissed. He had powered the suit down 21 seconds before Touzdae’s jump. He remained fixed in his suit, ”locked down for safety” while the jump envelope unfolded. Two or three Gypsums entered the altered reality of the jump spacetime. At times there were two of them, three, and six of them. The speed of their thoughts overwhelmed Jac. He heard them as an audio blue.

They were unsuccessful in removing him from the suit. Instead, they transported him to the bottom of the sphere in the personal aura of the Lingam Egg on the deck above. A pride of lions, males, and females, encircled the Lingam Egg that was once a stone. Jac used a neural command to collapse the suit and place it on standby. It collapsed into a compact area near his solar plexus in his front and back. Jac’s consciousness expanded…

Number 8 rode Kurtz to ecstasy. She rolled over and cuddled beside him.

“Great, Ereeon,” Kurtz was grinning as was his body. “Exceeds body cleansers by infinity.”

It was the best compliment so far, Ereeon (Number 8) thought.

“Thoughts?” Kurtz asked.

“Beyond ecstasy.”

“One day you’ll spend the night with me,” Kurtz said.

“Yes, Master K.”

As Kurtz stood she saw his mighty build, his powerful shoulders, and his sexy bald head. He started to put on his clothing. Ereeon surrendered to a fantasy world of sex escapades.

“Come, get up. You have work tomorrow. A good night’s sleep is my order for you. I am bound for the planet.”

She got up and slipped into her clothes.

“Have a good flight,” she managed to say as they both left together. Another first, she thought.

Touzdae wandered extended passageways during the spacetime jump. Time and space seemed to stretch. When she ran full tilt it was slow and fast.

Jac’s consciousness expanded to include more. Fractured universes connected to the center of his universe. It was the origin of the Big Bang. His universe forced Jac’s consciousness to expand beyond his limits as an Antarian. He expanded beyond humanoid consciousness. His sense of self was gone or failing. It fell away in pieces in a wake of sorts. He became a Being without time and beyond space. All across the consciousness that was once Jac, he dissolved. Jac surrendered the last of his self into a Conscious Universe at One (CU at One).

All across known and unknown multiverses extending out. Universes bent back on itself CU at One became a universe. Nexus points were everywhere. Including the Well of Souls.

Kurtz took his private transport. He could have traveled via a beam of light instantaneously to his office in Chi-East-One dome.

His vessel jumped out of a one-minute hyperspace tube from Jupiter Station. Kurtz’s small ship slowed. He liked the look of his planet Earth from space.

“I love what I’ve done with Planet Earth. Took the people out of chaos and ruin. Lifted them up, literally. Eighteen giant domes spread over six continents. Chi-East-One largest dome over the former China and Russia. It was the one I built first. All eighteen capable of floating flight into the upper atmosphere.” He savored his words as if they were morsels of fine foods. His vessel put into a high orbit. Kurtz waited for the window to descend to his office atop the Chi-East-One dome. It was ascending to the upper limits of the atmosphere barrier.

As three Gypsums reappeared the suit assembled around Jac with a mind of it’s own.

“It’s enough,” one Gypsum said aloud to the other two.

There are still vestiges of self remaining in this Antarian. We must wait until his whole self is gone and he is at one with the Multiverse, the tallest one thought to the other two.

Now, pull him out now in a transport to the Sphere Control Room above, the third Gypsum thought. They made light around the Lingam egg and around the body that once housed Jac and transported him away.

A small semblance of Jac returned. He felt saddened by the withdrawal from the oneness and withdrew into stillness. The stillness was absolute. The suit supported the absolute stillness. Within the stillness, he felt connected to his consciousness in the all.

The three Gypsums regarded the body of Jac within the suit. They conferred with each other about the next step.

Kurtz docked in his private hangar. A small delegation of Newts had arrived early. They awaited his entrance.

A lengthy discussion ensued. How to make an alternate reality one million years in Earth’s past in a way unseen by those in power.

Kurtz forced them into agreement. There would be a holocaust destruction of that epoch. In turn it would create a truncated matriarchy. The shortened matriarchy would give way to a rebellious and enraged patriarchy.

Easily manipulated, the Newts thought. Kurtz felt orgasmic.

“Destruction,” Kurtz mused in a whisper. “And my revenge upon him and his friends.”
