Time In Liquid Form
A haiku
Rain collects in drops A never-ending cycle Time in liquid form
Thanks to Brett Christensen for the prompt, ‘time.’
I love the water. I‘ve always lived near it, whether it’s a river or the ocean. I have lived in a country that has been through drought. Sometimes we didn’t see rain for years. Watching a landscape gasping for water is difficult. Even worse if your livelihood relies upon it.
I have always been fascinated by the cycle of water, that it is an element that connects us to the past, to the time of dinosaurs. That water molecules that have made up the first life on Earth are here, now, in the present. A never-ending cycle. It’s almost like a raindrop is a time capsule. That was what I was hoping to capture here.
