Many writers complain about Medium, but if you think for a while. Medium always gives us opportunities to grow and earn money. They prioritize writers and always try to help new writers grow.

Medium updates its platform almost every month and tries to make everything easy for its writers.

I was not on Medium from the beginning. But when I started writing here, I saw so many updates from Medium to help their writers grow.

They have always been giving us so many options to grow. But as writers, we failed to take advantage. So today, I am gonna explain some of the opportunities that Medium gave us. But many of us didn’t get the expected results and failed to take advantage of them.

The referral program

A few months ago, Medium launched its referral program to pay every writer who converts a non-paying member into a Medium-paying member.

Medium could have done it without paying the writers. But all they want is to create a win-win situation for both the writer and the platform. When someone joins the Medium membership by your affiliate link. They pay you a small amount from the subscription fee and give the buyer unlimited access to all the stories published on Medium.

If you like my content and want to support me as a writer. You can become a Medium-paying member with my link to get unlimited access to all the premium content on Medium.

Supporting individual writers over publications

Recently, Medium announced that they will support individual writers more than publication. They are helping new writers achieve success by promoting their content.

They stopped providing financial support to publications. And started giving it to writers instead. They paid $500 to every writer who consistently gave out quality content. They gave it to many different writers for almost 3 or 4 months.

I have seen many small writers who got the $500 bonus by only writing consistently. I am sure Medium will offer a variety of bonuses soon. As a result, you should keep an eye on future bonuses and try to take advantage of them.

New big writers

As I have mentioned, Medium has started supporting new writers. They have started adding some new big names to the platform. They have promoted many new writers like Burk, Jenn Leach, Edina Abena Jackson, Kristina God, and many more.

I don’t know why Medium chose them, but I am happy to see them rising because they provide great content. I have read all of them but never get disappointed.

I hope Medium will try to support new writers and help them grow on Medium easily and quickly. So that every writer gets a chance to grow on Medium.

Join the Medium membership to support me as a writer and get access to unlimited stories about many topics like finance, entrepreneurship, mental health, fiction, writing, fitness, and many more topics.

I would suggest you join the membership because it’s the most affordable of all the other platforms. Only $5 a month or $50 a year.
