This Week’s Prompt: 24–30.08
All things boundaries.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, now and forever!
I’m writing this prompt in a car, on my way to the seaside. It’s been challenging to maintain focus on the task when there are so many beautiful views longing to be admired. Nature never ceases to fascinate my eyes and soothe my soul!
I got this week’s prompt idea from one of Joseph Lieungh’s comments to a previous post. He reminded me of the importance of healthy boundaries and how tricky it can be to set and maintain them.
This has been and still is (to a point) a sad reality for me. I have been repeatedly failing to recognize the negative effects of lack of boundaries until a lot later, when the damage had already been done. It still gets tricky at times, especially when I think I’ve set a clear boundary with someone and the other person doesn’t respect it. I still don’t know how to handle that without being an asshole…
My questions for you are:
What do healthy boundaries mean to you?
How do you set and maintain them in relationship/friendship/family dynamics?
What are the consequences of lacking boundaries?
How can they empower us and those around us?
I know this subject is a hard one for a lot of us, but it’s something that needs to be addressed. Why? Because growth is not possible without boundaries.
I’m looking forward to reading your articles! Remember, dearest friends, there is no right or wrong. There just is!
P.S: Apologies for being a little late on clapping, highlighting and responding to your articles. Doing the best I can to keep up while I’m away!
