Laughter Is The Key To Your Healing
Scientists show that comedy can actually cure cancer

I recently ran into a series of interviews on youtube, called “The Art of Happiness”. I enjoy them very much, as they bring doctors, scientists, life coaches, and other inspirational figures, to teach us “the art of how to be happy”.
This particular interview is with Professor Doctor Dumitru Constantin Dulcan, a neurologist, psychiatrist, doctor of medical sciences, and author of numerous books. The best known is “Intelligence matter “, published in 1981, in some opinions worthy of the Nobel Prize. In his works, he brings revolutionary studies about the human brain, emotions, thoughts, and so on.
Dr. Dulcan claims that thought is the most powerful force in the entire universe. Physicians often came to the conclusion, that the universe resembles mostly to a huge brain rather than to a perfect machine.
Our thoughts transform our emotions and our entire personality. Every thought and word we use shapes not only our emotional state, but it also has a huge impact on our health.
In 1906, the Spanish neuroscientist Santiago Ramón y Cajal received a Nobel prize establishing that neurons are something given for life, they can change but they can never be replaced or regenerated. From the 1990s though, we do know that stem cells can regenerate the brain’s neurons and DNA.
When we think in a positive way, we create brain chemistry that unchains positive effects: dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins, and so on.
Oxytocin has an extraordinary effect, scientists claim. The attachment in the couple or between the mother and her fetus. If you want to obtain more oxytocin, you must give more caress, and you will instantly create a good mood in that person.
We can work with ourselves and with our minds, in order to change our DNA structure. Neurons and DNA are not inflexible, as it was thought by the researchers until the 2000s.
If we are in a very sad or stressed situation, the first thing we must do is relax and change our facial expression. This simple relaxation method creates positive chemistry in our brain and instantly determines our well being.
We possess many genes: depression gene, aggressive gene, happiness gene, generosity gene, and so on. They are all potential in us, but if we are raised in a warm family, full of harmony and love, genes like depression or aggressivity just don’t express themselves, later in life. Culture beats nature. By raising our children with love, we can avoid to transform them into criminals. If the human being is raised with harmony and happiness, his “bad” aggressive or depressive genes will not develop or manifest. All this, proven with scientific studies.
There are people who have cured their cancer, by being optimistic, calm, religious, and faithful.
Never say to a person: you cannot heal. Don’t take his own healing resources away from him.
“I have many patients with cancer, and I asked them, for six months or more, to watch only movies that amused them and made them feel good. They were forbidden to have any contact with people expressing how sorry they felt for having such a terrible disease. They didn’t need to hear, not even for one moment, the “c” word. After six months of watching, listening and reading only positive things that made them laugh and feel good, some patients were cured. FROM CANCER. Why? because their brain had been activated exclusively in a positive way, in favor of healing.”
Makes pretty much sense, right?
“When someone is diagnosed with cancer, he must at all costs win his depression, in order to stop metastasis. If he develops a deep depression, his chances to metastasis are very high. This is how important the mindset is.”
Now, we know what happens in our brains. Every emotion or thought is projected in our brain, permanently connected with every part of our body.
Something else that’s very important to know is that we have inside of us inactive genes of joy and happiness, and we can simply activate them with our minds. Can you realize how important that is?
Murakami says we have the happiness gene inside of us — it just waits to be activated.
We have inside of us all the necessary resources to be healthy, unfortunately, we express very little of them because we lack the necessary education in that direction. Scientists don’t do enough to inform people about the huge healing potential that we all have within ourselves.
I hope you liked this little introduction to how our brain works in order to bring us happiness. I find it very interesting and true. Whenever I am sick, like having a flue or something worse, I watch comedy movies and read comic books, stories that make me feel good, laugh, and take my mind out of the problem that I’m facing.
So, in case I will get COVID and stay at home, I will know what to do.
