These Joyful Things
A Poetic Collage
wind chimes and mud puddles the lonesome howl of a wolf birds chirping and babies cooing your laughter peeling through the house silvery moon-rises and colorful sunsets grass tickling my bare feet a cat’s purr and a dog’s wagging tail fine food cooked with loving care an orchestra and the opera a ballerina floating on air British dry humour and your quick wit a spider weaving its web the silence of a forest and the ocean’s breath a cherished memory brought to mind your scent and soft skin our hearts beating as one
