This week’s prompt: 1–7.06
All things ego.

Hello, hello! Apologies for the 1 day delay. Life is slowly returning to “normal” where I live and the adjustment isn’t exactly…Smooth.
I hope everyone is feeling okay and up for this week’s prompt. Last week we touched on authenticity and what it means for us, in human form. Our contributors have shared powerful, emotionally raw and captivating articles on this topic (in case you missed their posts, I will leave links to their stories below).
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that this week’s prompt is…EGO. Yes, indeed, our dearest, beloved friend, the ego…
We are all either aware or are beginning to become aware of how the ego is full of biases, filters, triggers and negativity. We are also starting to notice how it can interfere even as far as “spiritual matters” are concerned. It desires quick results and it desires them now, influencing us to believe that evolution is yet another race, another competition we should try and win.
With that being said, what is the ego and how does it operate compared to the soul? How do we differentiate between the two?
When touching on this topic, think of a couple of the following aspects:
- Who does the ego serve vs. who does the soul serve
- Outward recognition vs. inner authenticity
- Life as a competition vs. life as a gift
- Looking outwards vs. looking inwards
- Mortality vs. eternity
- Lust vs. love
- Seeking wisdom vs. being wisdom
- Enjoying the prize vs. enjoying the journey
- Cause of pain vs. cause of healing
- Seeking to be filled vs. eternal wholeness
- Me vs. We
As always, be as creative as you wish!
Looking forward to reading your content! Oh, and if you’re looking for some inspiration, one of our writers already touched on this topic a few days ago. Here’s a link to J. C. Smullen’s post on EGO.
In case you missed last week’s stories on authenticity:
Thank you for being part of this community!
Warm hugs.
