This Is Your Pep Talk to Do It
Don’t kill off the idea and the good it could do for you

Since you clicked on the title and are reading this, it must mean there is a wish inside of you, something you always wanted to do. Am I right?
Is there a certain idea that gives you butterflies in your stomach when you indulge in the thought of acting on it? Does it give you that ‘good fear’ type of feeling?
Well, then I say this feeling is inside you for a reason. We all have it, not necessarily for the same things, but oh, it’s there. What separates us though is the courage to act on it. Some have it, some don’t — be the first one.
As Theodore Levitt kindly pointed out:
“Ideas are useless unless used. The proof of their value is in their implementation. Until then, they are in limbo.”
What’s the point of a brilliant idea if it’s only going to stay in your head?
If it’s a persistent thought stored in the back of your mind, never leaving, I say it’s an idea worth pursuing. If it’s something you get excited about, something you often think about and something you catch yourself daydreaming about, it’s not without a reason.
However, it’s important to know two things:
1. The first leap is always the hardest
If you are afraid to start, remember: the best things in life and the best experiences turn out to be those which came from the very fear of doing them.
Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from what could potentially become a life-changing situation for you. Even if it doesn’t go according to your plan, it might turn out even better.
“Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction.” — Harry S. Truman
2. Motion and effort are equally important
When you get that good kind of ‘kick’ in your stomach, act on it. If you postpone it, even for an hour, chances are you won’t do it. Read about the 5 second rule here.

And the best part: when it will finally hit you that you’re in the middle of doing what you once only dared dream of doing — it will truly be the most incredible feeling.
Don’t be afraid of failure or imperfection. Embrace the process and the journey. After all, aren’t we all just learning as we go?
