This is What Killed My Read Ratio

I pushed to increase my read ratio on Medium to close to 70% and now it’s below 30%…This is what made it drop so drastically.

I call them spammers.

You’ll recognize them. They come to your profile and sometimes follow you.

But then they start hijacking your stories one by one.

And you see your notifications exploding…but then you realize, it’s physically impossible to read that many stories in just one minute or less.

Then my read ratio fell just like this:

I have more of them now! As if Medium attracts more to my profile ever since I discovered the first…I know it couldn’t be the case, but what is it?
