I Checked Each of My Medium Followers. I Was Surprised!

I reviewed them all one by one. And I didn’t expect that!

Few days ago I lost more than 10 followers overnight. I learned it’s some kind of purge, Medium style…

But it made me think…maybe I’ve got fake accounts or clones following me.

So I decided to check them one by one. I was shocked!

More than half are non-members!

So they can’t read what I’m writing…

Then I thought: maybe it’s me

Maybe I have attracted them while engaging. I never looked at the writer’s membership status while engaging.

How could I miss that?

The a-ha moment.

I never really had a strategy for my daily engagement. That’s how!

Not until I did that analysis. It was mind-blowing and eye-opening at the same time!

So I made a decision.

I’ll approach my writing strategically.

I will select the writers I engage with the intention to build an audience.

How do you choose who to engage with?
