How I Make 10+ Followers Per Day on Medium as a New Writer
Consistency and engagement are key, but not enough.
If you’re not a Medium member, you can read this article here.
During the past few months, I wrote on Medium occasionally. I dropped a comment, a clap, and a highlight whenever I found something interesting while feeling bored drinking my coffee in the morning.
And I’ve still got new followers: about 10 to 20 per month, and about 30 in an active month.

But I was inconsistent.
Until last Friday.
As I wrote in this story, I decided to take my Medium writing to the next level:
On Saturday morning, right when I started implementing the changes, I had 347 followers.
This is what I changed:
- Engage with authors in the niche and outside of it
- Write every day
- Use poopular and not so popular tags
On Saturday and Sunday I wrote my new stories and started publishing. Usually in the weekends starts are slow, so on Monday morning I had about 352 followers.
Today, as I’m writing this story, I count them up to 373! That’s 10 new followers per day!
What I once achieved in a month, I now got in a day!

Big THANK YOU to all of you who find my writing valuable!
See you next time!
Yana
