REGENERATIVE FUTURE
This Is the Moonshot Speech by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
They will unleash a regenerative future together

Who remembers? The moonshot speech by John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1962? It was really something. With one story he unleashed the future. With a few words, he made us long for the man on the moon. And although he didn’t have any clue how to make it happen, it happened.
And it can happen again. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will give us the new moonshot speech. The new unleashing of a future for humanity. I’m confident they can do it. And this is what they’ll say.
Moonshot Speech
Let’s have a look at the history first. July 20, 1969. One giant leap for mankind. Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins made it happen.
Millions of people followed the adventures of our astronauts. First, Apollo 11 cleared the tower. And about 12 minutes later, the crew was in Earth orbit. Then came the time for the ‘translunar injection’. Time to head for the moon.
Three days later, the crew was in lunar orbit. Excitement all around. It was a boy's dream happening for real. There were setbacks. Suspenseful moments.
“When it comes time to set Eagle down in the Sea of Tranquility, Armstrong improvises, manually piloting the ship past an area littered with boulders. During the final seconds of descent, Eagle’s computer is sounding alarms.” — NASA’s account of the Apollo 11 trip
It turns out to be a simple case of the computer trying to do too many things at once. But we felt their tension. We imagined their faces all tensed up and worried. While at the same time their able hands, trained for a long period of time, were making the right moves to solve the issues.
When the lunar module landed on the moon, only 30 seconds of fuel remained. “You got a bunch of guys about to turn blue, we’re breathing again.” (› Play Audio). The tension broke and celebration vibes infected the crew.
“With more than half a billion people watching on television, Neil Armstrong climbs down the ladder and proclaims: “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” (› Play Audio) — NASA
And this happened only because John F. Kennedy put the challenge out there. Within one decade they landed on the moon. All because of one story.
All because of one moonshot speech!
Moon is Okay, Earth Is Vital
In 1969, I was 4 years old. I was a toddler and I can’t remember a thing. But I do know that 52 years later, the world has changed dramatically. By now, we know that landing on the moon had a completely different meaning than we thought back then.
Only last week, I told Elon Musk about it. From one professional to another.
I told him: the first moon landing was great. But the real Utopia was unleashed one year earlier when the first photo appeared of the Earth Rising (top picture). And this Utopia was grounded when three years later the first full Blue Marble pictures were shown.

In one of my first stories, I told my international audience that in 1968 and 1972, the first seeds were planted for a new moonshot.
And I’m convinced that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will do a great job unleashing the future with this new moonshot. They have everything going for them. They represent diversity. Man and woman. Black and white. They breathe inclusivity and they have the guts to swim upstream and inspire us to do great things again.
“We went to the moon as technicians, we returned as humanitarians.” — Edgar Mitchell, astronaut
The New Moonshot
Okay, so what will the new moonshot be about? Of course, we need some repetitions of a mantra. ‘I have a dream’ or ‘Yes, we can’. But that’s just form. That’s for the speechwriters. Today, I want to tell you about the content. What will be in the new moonshot speech?
It’s not so difficult. The new moonshot will be about the one and only truth.
We are people, wise and diverse people, living on a planet that is our home
We can see the picture in our minds. We can envision the peace, the calm, the love of being one humanity on one living planet emerging. All our children and grandchildren deserve to live on this same beautiful, self-healing planet. Have a thriving future on this living planet.
A good moonshot is based on past happenings. We need to believe it can be true. That’s it’s no fantasy. Apollo 11 was not the first Apollo. There were earlier trials and Apollo 8 was the first manned flight.
Well, the same is true now. The new moonshot is not coming out of the blue. The big wave of change has been happening below the surface for more than 50 years now. And is firmly grounded in The Regeneration.
The philosophical shift has happened from Descartes to Deep Ecology.
The scientific shift has happened from specialist science to connecting the dots and seeing the bigger picture emerge.
The evolutionary shift has happened from gene-focus (storing past information) to cell-focus (regeneration and self-healing principles).
The technological shift has happened from Cartesian technology to Superformula technology.
And for whoever wonders what this nature-based stuff has to do with things like inequality, racism, and poverty, I’ll explain it a bit deeper still.
- Deep Ecology means that people are part of nature. People are not above nature, should not be ruling over nature. They should be wise guardians of human nature and all other nature too
- Deep Ecology means an end to superiority. No species is better than any other. They just have different roles. We go back to Charles Darwin who said: “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change.” We will be those adaptable ones. We, as a complete and diverse humanity
- Deep Ecology means that science and spirituality are two sides of the same coin. In science, emergence happens in quantum physics. In spirituality, emergence happens with gratitude and making space for compassion
- Deep Ecology means that we will celebrate biodiversity. Whenever we create monocultures that result in a pest, natural enemies will arrive and restore the balance. With humanity, that same principle is true. As soon as we learn how to dance with diversity, the balance will be restored
- Deep Ecology means that we will transform our economies into thriving, local hubs of vibrant activities providing for basic needs. The triggers of this new economy will not be toxic, as they are now. They will be based on synergy and will unleash the principle of 1+1=3
- Deep Ecology means that we will transform our governance systems into lean systems based on citizen’s trust. We will stop making laws based on incidents. Go back to a system of basic rules that do not try to control and oppress but creates new value with citizens instead
We will learn how to dance with diversity
Practical Examples
Let me give you a few examples of what has already emerged in the USA. And there’s more where this came from. Much, much more…
1. Community Land Trusts
Community land trusts are non-profit, community-based organizations that make it possible for citizens to build healthy houses on land and provide for their food with regenerative agriculture.
Kiss the Ground, NGO and famous Netflix film, is setting the tone here. With Lauren Tucker, former Executive Director, as one of the influential changemakers.
Watch and you’ll understand how everything is connected. How soil regeneration goes hand in hand with human system regeneration. How ocean regeneration is intrinsically bound to restoring water cycles on land. How natural cycles are connected to female cycles. And thus, how we can create a regenerative future for humanity on our planet.
2. Cluster Business
In Maine, Born Global Inc with Dr. Kimberly Samaha as a leader has taken an important role in showing that it’s possible to create a local, vibrant economy with nature’s principles. We envision a cluster of businesses providing jobs for the region and strengthening nature’s principles at the same time.
Born Global is embedded in a global movement of companies and areas that have already done it for many more years. Areas like Las Gaviotas and El Hierro.
3. Indigenous Cultures
The Grandmothers of the Americas are being seen and being heard. They are making waves 7 generations ahead. They are the wise ones with a long-term vision.
4. City housing
Serendipia Life shows that regenerative co-living and co-working communities are possible in city environments. And these young people will re-invent the future of diverse communities on a healthy planet by just getting on with it.
5. Media
And to show that it’s not just people protecting nature but also nature providing for people, Global Environment Media (GEM) gives us scientific and practical perspectives on how to thrive as humanity on a living planet.
Influential leader Professor Elizabeth Kucinich is showing us that all kinds of technological progress and combinatorial innovations are possible. Without oppression. Without the illusionary sense of trying to control people and nature. With diversity at its core.
Women’s Assembly
The world is definitely changing. And as you can see from the examples, women are having an important role in the change. Women economists are nowadays proving that re-invention of capitalism with healthy triggers is possible.
They are putting the heart back in society. And they will raise our children together with their men and the rest of their communities.
“It takes a village to raise a child”
— Hillary Clinton, bookbrowse
So, What’s Next?
I would like Kamala to have some good long talks with the Indigenous Grandmothers, Kimberly Samaha, Elizabeth Kucinich, and Lauren Tucker about the why, how, and what.
I met these women. I’m impressed with their wisdom. So, after these talks, Kamala and Joe will be confident in what exactly they’re saying when they’re unleashing the regenerative future.
Of course, we’ll need a much broader assembly. But we have to start somewhere. And these women have huge American networks of all colors, all genders, all specialists who understand connecting the dots. Together they can advise on the necessary warm, heart-felt solutions for human dilemmas in the Great Transition.
Together on Stage
As soon as our two leaders are confident, let’s have that moonshot speech. Kamala and Joe together on stage. Like a marriage of wise, diverse leaders leading the USA back to a healthy human spirit.
Making a long-term vision together. Ensuring all people of all colors, all genders, city-dwellers, and countryside-enthusiasts will become part of that vision. All people of America.
Being servant leaders to the shift from fear to love. Healing the broken past and creating a regenerative future. So our children can live regenerative lives. Healing themselves along with the planet in the future.
I’ll be happy to shed some light on everything too, you know. You just have to ask and I’ll be there. Because I know we can do it. I know we can unleash the regenerative future with this one moonshot story. And we can make that story come true by actual action.
We just have to want it badly enough…
